Which one of those were never adopted? M16 - 43-53 M15 - 43-53 M19 - 43-53 M42 - 53-63 (US forces in Panama used it until the 70's) M163 - 68-now LAV-AD - 97-? (No longer in service, can't find end-year) M6 Linebacker - 97-06
Again I was referring to today, the lav-ad never saw huge adoption and subsequently was withdrawn from US service, the m6 linebacker is a Bradley loaded with stinger missiles, and was a failure in that role too, and the m163 has been a stopgap since before Vietnam and even back then its role against aircraft was very limited The army has pretty much given up on a purpose built spaa gun
It's bizarre that Arma 2 runs far, far smoother for me than Arma 3.
Not really, a poorly optimized game from four years ago is going to run better than a poorly optimized game today. I really wish something would be done to reign in performance issues. I think 90% of people who play Arma 3 are going to be having a subpar performance. [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] This isn't the Arma thread though I just realized so never mind

Too short range, too low accuracy, too low chance to kill on hits, most shit they would be shooting at is moving too fast.

Probably handy for helis
Yeah, they probably fill the same job MANPADS do; shooting down helicopters and other low-flying low-speed aircraft.
Sorry for video game guns but - Human Revolution has some neat shit in it. Love the hexagonal barrel on this thing. Makes it feel like a railgun even though I don't think it actually is. [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] The PEPS is pretty cool too. [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] I really love Human Revolution for its use of non-standard designs - the main assault rifle in the game fires flechettes and the .357 revolver uses Dardick trounds.

I still like my idea of refitting the GAU-8 now that the us isn't gonna use it anymore, onto a tank chassis for anti infantry/cover/buildings/shitless pants.

Speaking of sci-fi guns, XCOM 2 got some really cool stuff. The Polish one is hideous. Looks like it's meant to be used as a brick/club once they run out of ammo.

There's a glock under all that: [editline]10th February 2016[/editline]
It's actually an early prototype of the Radom MSBS which now looks like an ACR [t]https://i.imgur.com/W5NR8hd.jpg[/t]
It is basically an ACR, but much improved: "the MSBS-7.62 is not the first, or even second 7.62x51mm NATO caliber descendant of the original Masada design, as that company developed its own 7.62mm derivative, the Massoud, which was later adapted further by Kinetic Research Group as the KRG FOX-42 Precision Rifle."
