Looks awful anyway. Why get whats essentially a Messer when you can get the real deal? Much better.

I need more Adam Jensen arm blades Stabbing someone with a blunt edge just seems hardcore to me.
if man at arms has taught me anything, with modern steel you could make a crowbar hold an edge if you wanted to
I need more Adam Jensen arm blades Stabbing someone with a blunt edge just seems hardcore to me.
It's not blunt, it's just flat edged, also nano edged. It just isn't a good design for stabbing things.
Been doing some research into laws regarding electrically ignited recoilless rifles, and I came across this: [t]http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/12/04/23B4905C00000578-0-Fearsome_An_Isis_terrorist_has_been_photographed_aiming_a_10_foo-a-61_1417689363156.jpg[/t] That children, is a sniper rifle... which fires 23mm shells. Yeah. Syria is one of those weird places where homemade and DIY stuff comes out of nowhere and looks orky as fuck. Or how about a DIY 14.5mm AA gun which uses bicycle handbrakes as the guns trigger. [t]http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2012/09/17/world/middleeast/atwar-chivers-diy1-2/atwar-chivers-diy1-2-blog480.jpg[/t][t]http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2012/09/17/world/middleeast/atwar-chivers-diy1-3/atwar-chivers-diy1-3-blog480.jpg[/t] Not gonna lie, I want one. Maybe you don't like these things and are simply interested in how to turn a soup can into a mortar shell. [t]http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2012/09/17/world/middleeast/atwar-chivers-diy1-8/atwar-chivers-diy1-8-blog480.jpg[/t][t]http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2012/09/17/world/middleeast/atwar-chivers-diy1-10/atwar-chivers-diy1-10-articleInline.jpg[/t] And maybe you want an artillery piece with those soup cans. Yeah. I'll say it again. Syria is the Land of WAGGHHHH. Still though, can anyone give me a brief run down on what exactly the laws are regarding ownership of recoilless rifles which use blackpowder are?
For what, though? It seems awful at-... Everything that anyone would need now it's no longer 1527.
Stab someone in the scrotum for one.
Remember the MGSV franken-guns and how nobody could figure out what they were based on? I found the answer for one, except not really. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Aoy0F58.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/O9KoyFJ.jpg[/t] If you ghetto-rig FAL handguards onto a Daewoo K2 then fit an AR15 stock adaptor with an M16 style stock, you get a pretty good approximation of the AM Type 69. The "except not really" part is because this was posted way after MGSV came out, so this isn't the inspiration. It's been known for ages that the K2 is one of the many things that might've inspired them when they were making the MGSV ARs, but I think it's cool to see just how close they are. ACTUALLY it turns out the original, original, original post was from back in 2010, so who knows.

The gun is a factory made KPV [editline]27th March 2016[/editline]
Still though, can anyone give me a brief run down on what exactly the laws are regarding ownership of recoilless rifles which use blackpowder are?
IIRC as far as federal law goes, I believe as long as it's muzzle loading and uses separate-loading ammo (IE separate propellant and charge) you're good to go. Otherwise it'd be a destructive device
Hm. I'll have to rework my design. I have been studying a design used by some rabbit hunters. What I was hoping to do was take this electric igniter concept, and implement it into a similar fashion to the one used by the PIRA's Improvised Propelled Grenades. [t]https://homemadeguns.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/iraimprovisedlaunchers.jpg[/t] It's a pretty easy design to replicate, and it has the benefit of using hardware store pipes with a tin can, but realistically I want to make something which could be used for piercing something like a stop sign.

Nitrogen is also a pretty powerful gas, just be careful not to blow yourself up because of the high pressures

I mean sure it looks like the gas system and front guard is different, but on quick glances it looks exactly the same.
if you don't know anything about guns they look fine, they're fairly consistent design-wise
Haven't we established that it's just an AR-180 that's been slightly modified? I mean sure it looks like the gas system and front guard is different, but on quick glances it looks exactly the same.
No, because it isn't. It may be based on and inspired by the AR-180, but it's nowhere even close to looking like one that's been 'slightly modified'. The entire receiver is the wrong shape to be an AR-180. The AR-180 is made from folded sheet metal, whilst the MGSV ARs look to be milled or machined, like the AR-15 and Daewoo K2. The AR15/K2 inspiration is pretty obvious when you look at how the upper/lower recievers are mated, especially at the rear, just below the rear sight. The bottom of an AR-180's reciever is just one continuous line, whereas the MGSV ARs have a stepped reciever. There's a paddle/button combination magazine release on the MGSV ARs, unlike the AR-180 which just has a button like the AR-15. The AR-180 only has a weird kinked rod type charging handle on the right, directly attached to the bolt, whilst the MGSV ARs have an FAL style, non-reciprocating charging handle on the left hand side. The rear sight on the AR-180 is just a folded peice of metal with the sight guts thrown inside, and only adjusts for windage, whilst the rear sight on the MGSV ARs is more akin to an M16A2 sight, with the elevation knob directly beneath the sight body. The rear of the MGSV AR's reciever, the solid stock, and the side-folding stock bear a resemblance to those on the FAL, and look nothing like the AR-180's. The pistol grip is more like a deformed AR-15 grip than the grip of the AR-180, and the handguards are clearly based on the FAL's three-hole handguards. The gas system and gas block/front sight are strikingly similar to the FAL's and bear no resemblance to the AR-180's at all. So I guess when you boil it down, there's basically no AR-180 influence in the MGSV ARs at all. So no, it isn't really 'slightly modified' unless you count throwing the gun away and manufacturing an entirely new one a 'slight' modification. It really gets my goat when people look at two things that blatantly aren't the fucking same and claim them to be pretty much identical.
if you don't know anything about guns they look fine, they're fairly consistent design-wise
Even if you know things about guns, they're fairly solid as far as fictional guns go. There's lots of little details you never notice ingame and don't need to be there, but they really show that the devs did their research and know a thing or two about firearms. The ARs we're discussing have tiny details like the bolt catch, fire selector, even the pins for the internal bits like the sear and hammer are in the right kinds of places. The sniper rifles have textured-on safety catches, and the back end of the firing pin is textured onto the back of the bolt where it'd protrude from when cocked. The carl-gustav styled recoilless rifle thing even has a spotting rifle attached to the side, as well as folded-down ironsights that are never used.
No, because it isn't.
If there's one thing I've learned from being part of the nerf community, it's that people who don't know much about guns only take a general shape or one or two identifying features and call that the whole thing. [t]http://i.imgur.com/oQnUvzh.jpg[/t] "It's got a magazine on the side, it's just like a Sten/Sterling!"
It's almost like people don't understand how to use their eyes properly.

It's probable that it is largely based on the Howa Type 89 which is a licensed and modified version of the AR-18
