I know it is for the collectible/historic value, but it kind of makes me laugh thinking that people are spending large amounts of money for essentially a lower quality version of a Garand.
Was that jap garand also in Bad Company 2 WWII bit?
It was on the first level. Pretty awesome weapon. I am honestly very hopeful that at this years E3, we'll start seeing some new WW2 shooters with modern graphics, I would honestly kill to play a new Battlefield set in WW2 or WW1 Steampunk.
Also in the world of 3D Printed Firearms, Fosscad has entered the uncanny valley zone.

The idea is that it takes an AR-15 upper, and applies it with a 16 inch barrel and 3in plastic buttpad(lol atf regulations), sorta reminds me of that one SKS Bullpup that was made some time ago.
Also the PM522 Washbear was released back in November, and its considered the first fully 3D Printed Revolver. No metal barrels, no metal innards, just 3D printed.

Then you have the newest version of the Shuty MP1...
[t]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNCOLGOF3Dk[/t]
It's a Bolter. But no seriously, it's just an updated variant of that one gun from sometime ago. It uses a glock barrel and some metal componets, but everything else is 3d Printed.
And to finish off our 3D Printed Antics on a fairly entertaining note... How about a paper airplane machine gun??

The WW2 assets from BC2 were repurposed from BF1943. In BF1943, the Japanese assault class had that Garand clone to keep them balanced with the US
Honestly, I'm a softie for the M1 Garand in BC2 Vietnam...

Something about a beat-up relic from a bygone era tied off with some gauze strips to get it stable, is just so oddly satisfying. Actually that is something I have to ask now, why exactly do soldiers sometimes wrap their guns in gauze strips. Outside of cleaning.
Grip and because it looks cool

Sometimes they tie things off to keep them tight and from rattling or to keep broken things together in the field.
I have seen AK lower handguards tied off in the same spot because they have metal pins going through them that heat up when the gun gets hot and would burn the user otherwise.
Can be seen very clearly here:

A variant of this is the quite common practice of wrapping the stock of the AKS-74 in the tourniquet of the medkit with the medkit stuffed into the frame of the stock.

Often seen done by Russian paras in Afghanistan an Chechnya, probably to keep the steel stock more comfortable since cold steel in Russian winter or Afghan mountains is not nice to the face.

Just a few examples of it in the field.

This does, however, serve to render the tourniquet entirely fucking useless, since rubber like that doesn't need to spend long stretched out and exposed to heat and weather before it turns brittle and shitty.
Speaking of AK furniture:
Are those yours?

guessing you found the pic somewhere since the things in that pic would probably go for over 10.000$ in the states
[editline]29th March 2016[/editline]
or probably twice that? idk
american prices on such things are insane
you can buy a mint condition Luger for under 400 bucks, mint condition Kongsberg M/1914 for around 600 bucks here
No, not mine, and yes, all very expensive; the AK-100 series mags in the middle and the factory 20rd bakelite are at least $100 a piece, but I've got no idea about the green polymer and ceremonial tag.
the 20 rounder is meant for the aks-74u innit?
i did some powergoogling and some of those green 74 mags went for over 2000$ at an FB auction just recently. holy shiiit..
Yup:

Gentlemen, behold! The RSh-12(РШ-12) revolver!

RSh-12 means Assault Revolver 12,7 cal.(Револьвер Штурмовой калибра 12,7).
Absolutely brutal, insanely powerful(probably), no one knows where the fuck they will use it.

It's the matrix, all bullets are blank, but the impacts are real
[editline]29th March 2016[/editline]
Also only in the matrix does a streetsweeper shotgun actually work
I have heard the rumour they actually shot up the set before.
The matrix was great with practical effects
