The SPIW Weapons Program was crazy cool. Also, finding reliable information is kinda hard, so some stuff may not be accurate.
Some Requirements for the SPIW
-60-round magazines
-fires flechette rounds
-3-round grenade launcher
-under 10 pounds :ok:
The result.

H&R SPIW
Had a 20-round drum magazine of triple-flechette rounds and a 3-round grenade launcher; Was dropped out of the program early for being 'unsafe to shoot'.

This one looks like it was made to shoot knives.
The first one is a shop. The trigger wouldn't be able to go anywhere.
That's definitely an MP40 magazine/magwell and the upper looks mostly Sten based.
Whoops. Should've done a bit more research.
didn't the flechette rounds have issues with simple shit like raindrops significantly altering the trajectory
didn't the flechette rounds have issues with simple shit like raindrops significantly altering the trajectory
From what I remember, yeah, and wounding capability was also an issue, as flechettes generally due to their shape, don't yaw or deform too much on impact, leaving a small entry hole, small wound cavity, and small exit hole :v:
Those guns do look boss as shit though.
They also look like they belong in a Fallout game. :v:
One more thing: Apparently, the only thing good that came out of the program was the single-shot grenade launcher on the AAI, which would later become the M203.

I like these unusual guns. They'd be perfect for a number of video games.
The missile launch video just made me think of this.

Video about swedish soldiers stationed in Mali on behalf of the UN:

It's all in swedish although there's alot of good sequences showing the Galten all-terrain vehicle, military quadbikes and swedish soldiers in general.
The video itself is about the operation in Mali and the soldiers talk about gathering intel, building a relationship with the locals and compare Mali with their previous experiences (Afghanistan, Chad and/or Kosovo).

Helical magazine for the DPRK's 5.45mm Type 88 '98' series, each magazine holding 100 to 150 5.45x39mm cartridges.
Thats got to be so unbelievably front heavy
at least the first 50 or so shots won't cause significant muzzle climb
I wonder what the reliability is.
What gun is that? looks a bit like a fal?
"Custom Cerakote finished FAL that the owner/seller says is comprised of IMBEL parts built by DSArms. Really clean and eye catching build. Rail is from DSArms and the stock is from Magpul, both of which add some much needed ergonomics to the FAL but at the cost of more weight on an already hefty main battle rifle."
It's in the source

Does anyone have a video explaining how metal wire was made in the old days? Like how they made it for jewelry and such during the medieval period.
[editline]14th May 2016[/editline]
huh weird.
I decided to look up some more videos and it turns out that audiophiles make their own gold wires sometimes. Not to mention it seems you can start the wire making process by simply making very thin metal bars, which almost always can be made via a process of packing a piece of spaghetti into a cylindrical mold and then topping off the bottom part of the mold to stop the liquid metal from going else where... Why the fuck didn't I think of this???
