I'd love to get a Browning Hi-Power
My dad had one of these when he served in the FCA, it wasn't as sexy but I saw a decommissioned one at a motorbike show a month ago and almost bought it for a shelf piece.

You know your ghaneema is brand new when everything is still covered in protective plastic. You ain't going to find them newer than this. basically ISIS pictures of a captured Syrian Arab Army position, here they have gotten brand spanking new AKs, magazines and RPGs as loot. Thought it is interesting to see.

The one thing I don't like about it is that the magazine doesn't fall out when you press the mag release.
I didn't think Russian weapons got that shiny.
I didn't think Russian weapons got that shiny.
They look kinda like airsoft guns, or shitty US knockoffs.

That camel's got his war face on
Maybe apocrypha but I remember reading somewhere from ww1 someone put a machine gun on the back of them and they accidentally shot it's head off because of the way camels hold their heads
Maybe apocrypha but I remember reading somewhere from ww1 someone put a machine gun on the back of them and they accidentally shot it's head off because of the way camels hold their heads
Let me guess. That crazy fuck Col. Lawrence was involved.
Oh man this is dope. The M-ATV's are new right? If not, which one was the model that was to be newly adopted and looked futuristic and cool as fuck?
You're thinking of the L-ATV. The M-ATV is made by the same guys, Oshkosh Defense. iirc, it's a contemporary of all of the other MRAP designs. The L-ATV is a technology-packed, scaled-down version meant to replace the HMMWV. Gotta say, I'm glad Oshkosh is the company making it. They build the HEMTT and its derivatives, they're solid as fuck. They're also the closest a truck driver will ever get to driving a tank.
Oh I see. They look great, but do they take a beating?
Hard to say, they're a bit different as far as armored vehicles go. The only part of the vehicle with any real armor is the crew cabin, to save weight. That makes it easier to get a mobility or mission kill on the thing, but at the same time, the occupants have a much higher survival rate. Most of the injuries you see are mild TBI or broken bones, rather than severed limbs, severe TBI and the like. I dunno how fire-resistant it is though, so I'd imagine you'll still have at least a few people burning to death.

I'm still sad that this thing didn't make it to production:
those crazy clever bastards
those crazy clever bastards
Is that a goddamn mortar shell? That is some PIAT tier bullshit.
[t]http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/zid_2013_002.jpg[/t][t]http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/zid_2013_004.png[/t] Russia is making their equivalent to the SAW in 5.45x39 called "Tokar-2". It can be fed from a belt or a magazine like the M249 and Negev. Hopefully it will work more like the Negev since the M249 is notoriously unreliable when using magazines http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/05/29/russias-new-tokar-2-5-45mm-saw/
those crazy clever bastards
Mortar shells are fine, but why the red/black bad dragon dildos?
Can someone explain the mortar shell image to an idiot (me) please?
Mortar shells are fine, but why the red/black bad dragon dildos?
To strike fear into the enemy. That, and no one is going to want to radio in. "We're getting pounded by dildos here!"
Can someone explain the mortar shell image to an idiot (me) please?
They turned mortal shells into an RPG round. I think?
Can someone explain the mortar shell image to an idiot (me) please?
Probably some attempt at getting a HE-frag projectile for RPGs when all you got is HEAT which isn't crazy useful against unarmoured targets and infantry, compared to HE-frag. [sp]And before you go "But riller you massive turd-sucker, there already is a HE-frag warhead for the RPG-7. Don't you know anything or are your eyes obscured by the balls from the cock you're sucking?", may I remind you that the people in question aren't always the most well-supplied, and probably only have their hands on standard PG-7V rockets and not OG-7Vs.[/sp]
those crazy clever bastards
It's also been done in eastern Ukraine
