I read a little bit and looked at all the pics...... Makes me feel so small and pitiful. All that space, and we are like,....... Not even the pubic stuble of what's really out there. Now I'm sad :saddowns: [editline]08:43PM[/editline] I'm really really down right now. I was happy because I got Clover field for $3 but now I'm feeling crap. Thanks alot OP
You got 31 disagrees to 8 agrees. Really shows how :downs: people are.
He got disagree's because thats a picture of the Andromeda Galaxy, not the Milky Way.
No I think we're the only intelligent form of life in this entire galaxy.
You better watch out for the Collectors.
I* need to sit down for a while in silence and think about what I've just seen.
He got disagree's because thats a picture of the Andromeda Galaxy, not the Milky Way.
and you would get a picture of the Milky Way, how exactly?
This shit blows my mind. Then I realize that nothing I ever do is going to affect the tiniest part of the universe. Then I plan on how to change the universe.
Also, we are the only ones. There is no such thing as aliens; there are only animals and humans.
Nope.
No, the Galaxy is bigger then you think.
VY Canis isn't even close to us, if it went nova we wouldn't notice for quite some time. We probably wouldn't even get hit by a gamma ray burst.
If there was ever a time I wanted to travel at the speed of light, that would be now.
If there was ever a time I wanted to travel at the speed of light, that would be now.
I'd rather have something that circumvents the whole need to go as fast/faster then light, that way I'd be able to travel to the furthest reaches of the galaxy without worrying about how everyone back home has died of old age.
This would be awesome if I could comprehend how amazing it is.
The first image in the OP looks a lot like neural networks... wait. Unless... :wtc:
don't forget the most important image ever taken
No. We don't even have power over the planet we inhabit. Let alone our star system and galaxy.
Since when? We have the power to effectively turn Earth into a craterous rock, devoid of any life. That's definitely control. [editline]10:56PM[/editline] Also I'm pretty sure I don't believe space is infinite. Have we ever observed and infinity? Has basic scientific rigor ever shown something that is infinite in size, complexity or shape? No? Then it's not true until we've done so.
