When do donations close? I love doing expeditions myself and I'd donate, but all my cards have been cancelled and I have to wait for re-issue before I can donate, which will be at least another few weeks...
You'll be able to donate up until the 10th of June :)
I'm doing a 20 mile trek this Sunday, 212 miles is a lot, best of luck mate.
I donated £5.
I've walked 20 miles before (pissed out my head mind you) and it wasn't too great. Best of luck, unfortunately I won't be able to donate shit because I'm skint :(
Pretty sure I'm gonna do the entire thing in my kilt. [editline]11th May 2011[/editline] I'll certainly save space in my backpack from not needing any underwear ;)
Debating whether or not I should donate 50 quid, any less feels paltry, but I have under a grand in the bank and I have developed magpie like traits with my money :v:
do it

inverness represent!
Donated £20, good luck.
Do you have a smartphone or any other GPS tracking device?
Do you have a smartphone or any other GPS tracking device?
Why would he want that?
Why would he want that?
It's a long walk through dodgy terrain, should take one just in case you get lost. [editline]12th May 2011[/editline] Donated 50 quid.

Thank you so much, I really can't tell you how much I appreciate that. We don't have any GPS equipment, a couple of the guys may or may not have smart phones. The route is signposted for the majority of the way, and we'll have a map and compass if we get lost. Kicking it old school! [editline]12th May 2011[/editline] £142 from FP alone <3

Smartphones/GPS don't last long enough for anything of this length and extra batteries are a pain.
I think I saw this place in a video I saw for Health Class.
You mean Scotland? I've upped my target from £300 to £500. I really appreciate how much you guys have donated so far, it's inspiring. I'm hoping to start badgering my friends to help out so I should meet the new target relatively easily, the vats majority of donations so far are from you guys. I'm currently on £210, and I've recieved £165 in physical donations too. However, we're going to use some of the physical donations to offset the cost of the expensive canoe hire. I've been working like a bitch at the gym over the past few days in a last ditch effort to increase my fitness, I'm feeling confident. My only worry at this time is being able to afford a new backpack, and some minor back pains that have plagued me since a trip to Thailand last year. I need to make sure the new backpack is very comfortable or it's going to give me a lot of problems. That's a little update for you guys, thanks again. [editline]12th May 2011[/editline] I made a map to show people the distances, if you're not familiar with Scotland.
Donated what I could, good luck man :buddy:
Donated 3 pounds. Not much but can't afford a lot right now. Good luck.
will donate at the end of the month
Cheers guys :) I'm 62% of the way there. I really couldn't have got this far without you guys, seriously. I'm kind of disappointed at the amount of donations from my mates, I guess being a bunch of poor art students doesn't help. It was nice to see you guys even donating a couple of quid though, it really does all add up. So yeah, a big thank you. Here's hoping I hit my target :D
Donated £5, this is a great thing you are doing. I live near Union Canal in Edinburgh so I might pop down with some beers for you guys at the finish.
Are the folks in the big clunky country across the pond able to donate any $$$?
I think you can donate any currency but I'm not sure, can anybody confirm/deny this? Thanks a lot for keeping the thread alive. I was out buying some new gear today, luckily I used to work in a hiking store so my old mates are giving me a staff discount on a brand new berghaus backpack. Good times!
I donated with paypal, and it automatically converts pond into euro.
I donated with paypal, and it automatically converts pond into euro.
You donated a pond? :wtc:
Looks like the group reached the 1000 pound mark.
Wish I could do what you are doing, sir. If I had any money left I would give you 300 Kr. Have a nice ( and safe) trip :)
Last time someone asked for money on Facepunch, it was a huge fucking scam.
Last time someone asked for money on Facepunch, it was a huge fucking scam.
Yeah, but this is a believable scam :downs:
Plus he doesn't control this website - it just goes straight to charity anyway so no harm if it is fake. (It isn't though, Scotchair is awesome).
