I heard that people with tablets don't actually draw better, they are simply able to draw much faster.

That's basically the truth, though it depends on your tablet.
and by that I mean some tablets make it take even longer.
How much are tablets anyway? I've been doing a lot of hand drawings and it would be nice to to have to use my crappy scanner.

A basic Wacom Bamboo might run you $100. Wacom's Intuos line is about double that, but are much higher quality.
There are other brands, but I am not as familiar with them :/

Also you guys remember general ivan the guy who did some awesome homestuck voice acting? He removed them from his youtube page. I'm guessing it has to do with the comments I saw of people insulting it and the fan base.
