I actually love myself now.
Did you exercise or did this happen by yourself?
Did you exercise or did this happen by yourself?
Almost no effort on my side. Of course, my eating habits changed in a way and i exercised from time to time, but no, i'd say it's just puberty kicking in.
Aand i did some Karate, but that was after the worst period.
Losing weight is great. I've lost around 5-6kgs over the last 3 months. I haven't lost a lot the last 2-3 weeks, but I've just started eating super healthy again. I'm actually quite proud of myself, I've never really lost any weight before.
I want to lose weight but I can't be assed and I hurt my foot.
Maybe if I actually lived near my friends I could go cycling or something but nooo they have to live ~18 miles away.
You'll love yourself if you do it. It also feels great when you know you have been exercising and eating healthy for the entire day. No more feeling bad because you know you ate more than you should have.

I don't feel bad if I eat more than I should, I feel happy cause it's always something I like. I can't exercise with my sore foot though, it hurts all the time so I guess I should work on my eating or something.
I did the same thing but a little different. I lost a bit of fat but i mostly gained too much muscle, now in a way i look worse because i still have fat and i have muscle too. So i'm bigger/same size, but im healthy. I attribute this non-loss of fat to me maintaining a high calorie count and also almost doing no cardio and just tons of sit-ups and weight lifting.

Dieting doesn't work without exercise. Although i'm not the one to speak, i've read enough about that. If you can't run, do something else to get your heart pumping really fast.
Yes it does. If you eat less calories than your body uses, you lose weight.

Wow you didn't even look that fat to begin with WTF, what did you change?
It's got to be more than just "I didn't drink Coke/eat McDonald's", I haven't done any of that for years now.
You're a skinny motherfucker. You shouldn't worry about weight gain.
What. I'm 6 foot and roughly around 150 pounds, I'm definately not skinny.
When I was around 11-12 I weighed around 180 pounds and was like 5'10 ish but I lost that weight as I grew up and started exercising. I still weigh more than I'd like to though.
One offtopic question: My BMI is 20 is that good or really bad? D:
Any tips for gaining weight in muscle? Just had my surgery after 3 years of having Ulcerative colitis and lost so much weight/muscle that I'm literally bones and skin. I can start working out in November, what should my diet consist of so that I gain weight and can easily get that to muscle?

Whoops ye could have thougt of googleing but thanks.
That's really good to hear. I went out for football at the end of the last school year(just workouts and stuff), and I was around 220 pounds. I started working out, exercising, and gave up soda, and I'm down to 170 now. I decided to go out for wrestling this year, too, so I hope to get down to 150/140 or so.
Well, time to be inspired for an hour then goto sleep and forget.
I would start right now, but I have hot chocolate pudding and mint chocolate chip ice-cream downstairs. =/
I'll start tomorrow, it's 8 pm, gotta take a shower and go to bed. Will post before and after pics. And for the record, I'm 5' 10'', 180 lb. I don't look fat at all, but without a shirt, it's gross.
My brother had some good results when he wanted to lose weight. Maybe this will help you peeps out.
Start with bottled water, buy a 24 pack, and keep them in your room you will drink so much more water if you don't have to go to the kitchen for it. Also breakfast is extremely important, don't think that if you skip breakfast it's better because your cutting calories. Keep it simple man, peanut butter, eggs, low-fat yogurt and milk, just drink tons of water, and jog for 30 minutes a day. It'll fall off man.
It's nice to see these kinds of threads.
I personally dropped almost 40kg (that's... 88 pounds? In your crazy measurement). I was 127kg to start with (280 pounds) August last year. For about 8 months, I basically did at least an hour of excercise every night, 6 nights a week. I stopped eating all the chocolate and chips and pizza and... well everything really, that I used to, and drank only water & ate only 'healthy' foods. At the moment I'm at 90kg (200 pounds), and probably want to drop another 2 or 3kg.
Uh, yeah. Wish I'd done the whole picture thing but, honestly? I don't ever want to see a picture of myself how I looked before.
Good work you lot.

What healthy foods did you eat?

That's bad for the environment and expensive. Just buy a large bottle and fill it up the whole way.
I have the opposite 'problem', I'm skinny as fuck, and it's weird because I eat shitloads of candy and junk food everyday.

Don't worry. When you hit 20 or so you'll put on about 300 pounds.

Well for you guys maybe >> I follow a certain religion where this place will be gone, so it doesn't affect me or my family that much, and its not expensive depending on the brand you get, GO SAMS CHOICE. WOOOOOO!
This thread actually inspired me to really get into a good work out. I've been slacking by not utilizing my gym membership lately.
Given, I don't need to lose weight (at all really.) I just really want to work out again. It is fun and helps relieve a lot of stress and pent up energy. Plus I'm getting a little out of shape! I worked out a schedule and routine and I'm set to go Monday.
In 8th grade i was about 5'6 and 165 pounds. Freshmen year i was about 5'7 and 145 pounds. I stayed that way for another year and now I'm 5'9 and roughly 155-160, but it's a good mixture of muscle and fat. I've been getting a little more tone though from working 24-30 hours a week and eating better. It's really not too hard to do as long as you make the decision to not stuff your face with junk.
I'm 6'4", I used to weigh ~270 pounds and over a year I'm at 200. All I did was run and work out casually, with pushups and situps in between.
I'm much happier now, and still getting in shape.
