Good DAW's: Logic, Ableton Live, Fruity Loops, Reason, Cubase. I personally use Ableton Live and I'm very pleased with it and don't feel limited.

also made some ambient 174 bpm thing, really like how it came out. Doesn't have any drums atm but i might add those ;)
