Old, but it's so good that I think I've listened to it atleast more than 20 times this week.
Which artists were your introduction to Drum and Bass?
London Elektricity and High Contrast were mine, I'd love to see them drop some old tracks at Hospitality, speaking of which:

i think pendulum introduced me to the scene like 6 years ago
but concord dawn was the first artist i remember fully getting into shortly after that
Chase & Status for me. This song.

But I fully got into Drum n' Bass about 2 years ago, thanks to Rollz and Sub Focus

Well I head loads of it growing up back it and garage were quite popular on the radio, but the first artist I actually got into was Pendulum in their Hold Your Colour days.
Still love Pendulum, does anyone else?
I haven't listened to them in years
Oh wow haven't seen this thread before - So I'll do my first dump:
Jungle (more "drum and bass" than most drum and bass today):

Welcome.
Listening to a 2011 Hospital Podcast and Tony just starts singing about how much he loves a song.
To be fair it is good:

I didn't even know what dnb was until I stumbled upon the video for Pendulum - Slam, and I was instantly hooked.
Guys we jinxed Pendulum, they split up.

I'll miss them, they've introduced me to drum and bass overall, and then UK bass. :suicide:

Yeah, in a way they introduced me to dance-music. I had always dismissed electronic music as soulless clubmusic played by some fistbumping douchebag, but after listening to Hold Your Colour I realised that it could be so much more. I kinda saw this coming though, HyC was the only solid and good thing they ever created.
Also two songs I've made recently;
neurofunk inspired track

some liquid thing

[editline]21st June 2012[/editline]
Also I've recently found out how awesome Technicolor is.

I now also realise that my liquid-track was inspired by this :v:

I don't really agree, sure Hold Your Colour was the only real 100% DnB album they made, but to be fair I loved In Silico and Immersion just as much
New Concord Dawn track. It's been a while.

Mistabishi is underrated IMO. He deserves more respect, especially after 'that incident'.

According to this interview, his first album Drop describes his life in some way, which is pretty cool. If you like dnb overall, you should get his albums.
