Just approximately hit 50,000
mine was about 50 and my camera died after 50 Canon 7D shutter durability rating - 50
Take your most recent picture/or just take a quick one and enter it into your exif viewer of choice, http://regex.info/exif.cgi http://www.exifviewer.org/ for example. Look for "Image Number" (If it doesn't show up or is empty export it in lightroom then upload it or check it by uploading it to flickr then looking for the "Shutter Count" in the meta data) I'm currently at 26383 (8/18/2011) From 11272 at (3/10/2011) 15,111 pictures in 5 months
(12/16/2011) 31555 now 5172 in 4~ months about 20,283 photos in a year Average number of actuations after which shutter is still alive: 41,936.3 Average number of actuations after which shutter died: 43,498.3 omg, if mine is average my D80 is going to die in 8 months ;_;
Canon Rebel T2i, only 4718 Pictures but I only use it for filming so id say if there is a way to check there it would have a lot of hours.
Finally got some time to really determine my shuttercounts: Canon EOS 40D Shuttercount by Leevmeister, on Flickr Canon EOS 1D Shuttercount by Leevmeister, on Flickr My trusty old Canon 1D was made for 300k shutter clicks, so I guess it will work fine for another 5 years or so. The 40D was made for around 100k, so I am quite secure it will work fine for some years too.
10798 on my 1000D Still going strong
7111 on my Canon 20D

Suddenly, A thread revival! Shutter count: 27611 Camera: Nikon D3000, bought in January 2011.
May 2010 : 12 K if ML is right. [editline]22nd August 2012[/editline] EOS 500D
9060 on my Nikon D60, not using that much.
450D - 13663. It's second-hand and my predecessor probably shot around 13000.
33,449 shutter actuations and I've owned my D5100 for, well, actually 3 days short of one year. So, on average, 94 actuations a day. Not bad, me. And I thought I don't get out enough.
i've had my nex for a little over 2 years, and i'm approaching the 10k mark on pictures (around 9400 i believe) which means i'm well over 20k total shutters because it fires twice per picture, and not to mention the panoramics and other stuff like that i'm scared of my shutter breaking ;(

yeah they use mechanical ones. the nikon v1 and j1 are the only ones with fully electronic shuters, most newer models now have electronic first curtain and then mechanical second (required to initiate then end the exposure). my model is older so it doesn't have the electronic shutter at all, leading to double the accutations per shot.
I'm on 2,015 actuations as of today, using Rebel T3i. Only got it this January.
What are the cams made for? I heard everything from 50k to 500k [editline]22nd August 2012[/editline] Aw fuck http://www.olegkikin.com/shutterlife/canon_eos500d.htm

25K on my EOS 600D.

550D refurb 66,135 and I've probably only done a few thousand since the school year started.
Why does it fire twice?
Stop live view/start exposure for the first, then second curtain to end exposure. I believe this is common in other cameras too, I know that nikons do NOT do this. The electronic shutter thing is used on DSLRs too, my a77 has it and Canon models do as well, it minimizes camera shake and allows for slightly lower shutter speeds. Like I can't do the 1/focal length rule on my nex due to shutter vibrations. I've heard complaints about the d800 for this too, because it make shake that blurs photos
2601 on my two year old Nikon D90. That just can't be right... I guess it is but I just feel like I've used it way more than that.
How do I find out shutter count on my phone :v:
How do I find out shutter count on my phone :v:
i'm sure it doesn't have a shutter
i'm sure it doesn't have a shutter
well I hear something when I take a photo [editline]7th May 2013[/editline] not the fake shutter sound, I turned that shit off
