You say you like weightlifting and improving your health, so why not study dietary nutrition, human biology, and physiology? You could become a personal trainer, and they can eek out a very comfortable living, depending on where they live and what kind of clientele they cater to. Or, alternatively, you could study business, and work towards entrepreneurship. Have you ever considered opening your own gym or health club?

I was thinking about doing something along the lines of personal trainer if i dont find anything else to do, but the gym's wouldnt work where i live. We have 4 gyms within 5 miles.
I have this feeling, minus college. I dropped out of high school. My advice would be to stay in college lol.
Take a hobby in Photography. Invest on a DSLR Camera and learn to do photoshop. Take pictures of interesting stuff and become a photographer.

I know people that make good money from being photographers. It's a good paying and dynamic gig.

Fuck yeah, and watch/listen to this guys stuff. He'll adjust your trajectory, bitch.
And i think, I want to actually LIVE. I want to travel the world, not work a bullshit job, that i know i won't like. I want to explore places, have fun, actually see what life means.
Hmmm looks like an aspiration to me, just because you don't focus on a certain career path doesn't mean you're wasting your life.
It's your life, you can do what ever you want.
-Move to a big city, or some where near it and share an apartment with some dude who you can have super awesome wacky adventures with.
-Go to bars and meet beautiful whores who you can chat with and maybe get to know better.
-Enjoy the beauty of your surroundings.
-Kill a man.
-Play vidya gaemz
The world is your oyster!
Party like there's no tomorrow.
Might as well have a good time, it's all going to end horribly anyway...
Might as well have a good time, it's all going to end horribly anyway...
...I don't understand. What is going to end horribly?
Do what you love, that's all that matters.
Find something you like doing and are good at and shape it into a career.
My problem is pretty much the opposite of yours, I have plenty of aspirations, but I will never be able to meet a single one of them.
If this is the wrong section, mods please move it. I figured it would fit in general discussion.
I'll be graduating high school soon, and most likely going to a college. The problem is, after college, i have literally NO idea what i want to do with my life. People always ask me "What is it that you could see yourself doing after college?" And i think, I want to actually LIVE. I want to travel the world, not work a bullshit job, that i know i won't like. I want to explore places, have fun, actually see what life means. I have no idea what job career i would like to spend my life in, and i can't see myself doing anything for that long in a time period.
I've considered joining the military to follow in the footsteps of my dad, and it appeals to me. Sometimes at least. At other times I think, what if i don't agree with a current military venture, i would be forced to fight for something i have no belief in.
To anyone who has had this feeling, what did you do?
Sounds familiar. Traveling can be quite an experience, But don't go full hippie just yet. You need money, And there's only few ways to get it. Unforttunely one of those is working your ass off. Anyway you can save a ton if you do certain things and follow a certain way of life while on your hippie trail, I suggest you get the madventures book before planning any futher. It prety much has all the information you'll need.
You should probably know that this won't solve your problems even though it can make you happier, Unless of course you'd start to live an alternative way of life. Which prety much would be waste of all those years in the system.
But more seriously to look into your problem you're simply bored and unhappy because your life is just that same shit every day. What you might just need is some shit and a bit more shit experiences to start appreciate what you have and find a balance between work and personal life. Escaping the current situation wont do jack shit to you, because you're still going to get back into it. Or atleast you'll feel this way unless you're to radically change your daily life.
Just give it time you WILL most likely find what you wanna do it just takes time.
You could work for an airline for a while and use the perks like free/ridiculously cheap flights to go places. If you do it within the states, depending on the airline it's free as long as they have a seat for you, and international they only charge you tax.

It just feels like it wont though, Im hoping ill figure out. Everything ive thought about, seems cool, until i actually think about what i would be doing in that job, then it just sounds like a piece of shit i wouldnt like.
Example- veterinarians. I like animals alot, but id spend my life putting dogs and cats to sleep for bitchy ass old people
Doctor- loads of money, but i cant handle gore that well.
Urhgg.

Look, Work is not suppose to be fun. Thats why you get paid for doing it.
Try to get into the field which you like the most.

What? Work is supposed to be enjoyable. Employers want employees that enjoy their work, and employees want work they enjoy doing. Work should always be fun. No point wasting your life doing something you hate, even if you get paid.

Every job has its drawbacks you just got to deal with them

Maybe i'm just trying to say that every day at the work wont feel like a day at the theme park regardless what he chooses, Unless of course he chooses to work in a theme park.
Im not saying i want a perfect job that i will enjoy every second, i just want a job that i feel would fit me, and right now it looks as if nothing will do that.
Fuck i just need to win the lottery and play stocks the rest of my life.

You said you wanted to travel and I posted what is probably the best solution.

Comeon now, Don't be difficult. Right now you're not giving any rope in the situation, You most likely just feel depressed and that affects you. Just choose the field which you dislike the least. There's not really any other way to choose. Unless like i said, You choose an alternative way of life.

However, I remember reading it just happens that working on an airplane creates huge amounts of stress. I can't exactly remember why (I read this a long time ago, like, June). Though I do remember that there's also an increased chance of illness, partly due to the stress and also due to the fact that people are somewhat tightly packed on a plane, creating ideal conditions for illness to spread.
But, as I say, I can't exactly remember why so take this with a grain of salt.
I still feel like this after completing a year of uni. I am planning on changing my course because I dislike my current one, the only reason why I chose it was because I didn't know what else to do. I took this test recently to see what course is best for me, and it turns out I'm more suited for a social job (just as teaching) which I will most likely follow next year, seeing a careers counsellor first about it.
Because I wasn't sure what to do with my life, I started feeling really depressed and just stopped caring about myself. I recently found someone I really like and we're dating now and I've never felt so good before. You just have to hang in there and look for career advice to see what you really want to do, there has to be a vocation for you.

Constant flight does have it's own unique health issues but it'd take many years for them to fester into something serious unless if you're especially susceptible.
If he wants to travel though, it's one of the jobs that pays well enough and can get him places cheaply.
Life is just a ride, we all will die eventually, so who gives a fuck. I do alcohol and smoke and crap but I do that because after Im dead, I cant do shit like that. I do what ever I want.
Oh and have a gap year, go to work and write a book or something, or travel. Or make music. Or do drugs and party a bit.

Mate, I feel exactly the same. I'm going into sixth form, a sort of college, next year, and I don't even know what subjects to take. Travelling the world is always something I've wanted to do as well.
