Also not creepy
After reading this and other creepy threads on facepunch, i can no longer go outside my room at night :ohdear:
Edit:
I also have a nice bit steel bar off one of my bb guns next to me just for a bit of reassurance.
I posted it on /x/ last night and they pretty much came to the conclusion that I was crazy.
Without a little explanation, it could get confusing. I have this odd thing that I like to call acute Floydaphobia.
Pink Floyd's music gave me such horrific nightmares that now if I hear one of their songs I get a panic attack.
Now I remember why I don't like Pink Floyd. I always sleep to music, as a way of controlling the content of my dreams, as a way of helping me get to sleep. My first experience with Pink Floyd was I popped it in (I think it was The Wall. Not sure.) before I was about to go to sleep and I tried it for about three nights. Every single god damned night I had the most horrific and surreal nightmares. Barren wastelands roamed by equine creatures with what looked like stilts grafted onto the stubs that you would call legs. Cathedrals of human flesh, birdcages of bone and obsidian cities, angular and sharp, yet somehow distorted like a crashing wave coming down on your head. The worst of all was that it was all pretty much completely empty except for some distorted fauna, always stilt-like and high in the sky; but the absolute worst was the sense that there was something out there, moving, always approaching, stalking silently, reaching out at you from every angle that you don't perceive.
I swear to fucking god every song haunts the very fiber of my being, just thinking about it is stressful enough. Last time I heard one of their songs I nearly had a panic attack.
The absolute worst part of my series of dreams was the heart of the city. The obsidian metropolis was built up around a giant gaping hole, like there was no end to it. I remember in the dream that when I found it the word "drainpipe" echoed around me in a hoarse whisper. After that the most horrible series of scratching sounds emanated from the bottom of that hole and it just got louder, and louder and louder but there was nothing in sight and then the entire fucking city started to slant towards the center so I slipped into the fucking hole and I felt what was like pincers crawling all over me, but I was still falling. I landed off to the side of the dark pit, in the center was a beating heart on a greco roman pedestal, it fell off and rolled away, then I woke up.
This is a similar story to the Caving one on the first page, however it elaborates further and continues on past the ending of the Ted the Caver story. IMO it is creepier.

I don't have content, but playing a snow level in minecraft with the sounds of enemies is quite frightening.

For the last fucking time it's Poughkeepsie tapes.
That gif has shown up in this thread 8 times, all with explanation after explanation.
Anybody remember that old game Warrior Kings Battles?
Made about 7 or so years ago it was a good game for the time, but the game was eventually abandoned and the community slowly but surely vanished over those 7 years.
It's a good thing they did.
I was cleaning out my attic, when I discovered this old game, slightly scratched and covered in dust. I felt nostalgic and decided to reinstall it. There were errors in the installation though. About 3 quarters in there were some errors and mishaps with the installation. I thought it was the incompatibility it had with my OS, but somehow I managed to install the thing.
I started up the game and there was the usual sequence, however in the start-up video there was no music and the other sounds seemed louder and more focused on. When I went to start the campaign I soon noticed that the music was gone entirely and only the sounds of the characters and effects existed.
I played the first level (Angland) and found that some things weren't right, the fog of war was worse than before and there was a bug preventing me from building the church in-game as the peasants seemed to die when building it and then the building reversed construction.
I then chose to build the maypole and found that worked fine, until the peasants began to use it. Rather than doing the funny dance in front of it and making the cheery sound instead what happened was the peasant burst into flame and then died. I thought these to be bugs and had the maypole destroyed, but it set a farm on fire in the process and caused problems.
After fixing these problems I sent my army out to attack the Welsh player. (Some fat man who stole the others pies and by defeating this guy you win the level) However on the way random armies appeared, but they could not be attacked and did not attack themselves. They vanished when I got near them, this was strange because you did not meet such advanced pagan things in the first levels.
I then reached his land, but found out that the other noble was attacking it already, with gunners and bombards for some reason. (These do not appear early either) They were bombarding the city and I saw the peasants get killed, but also ragdolling and and the city having physics, this sort of thing didn't even exist in games for a few more years. The cannons then blew a mans head clean off and I watched it smash into a red mist.
The level then ended and instead of the ceremonial fireworks at the end, there was a slighty buzzy screen and it went straight back to the campaign screen with the map looking like Europe instead of the actual game. It showed a large blue nation covering most of it(Your nation in the game is blue). It then buzzed and showed the blue nation collapse into itself. A black wave spreading over it all and the nation splitting up and breaking down into kingdoms and fiefdoms.
What was interesting the most was the date on the corner of the map, it certainly wasn't the middle ages.
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but here's a really creepy, albeit long, caving story.
