Fallout Boy, My Chemical Romance, Billy Talent, Linkin Park, Nickelback, The Killers.. oh, and I can't remember the name of the band, but the guy sings melodically for half the song, screams like a retard in the other half, and he does some song with another group about saving your scissors. Fucking hate that group. OH! Alex is on fire. I hope the guy's name is Alex and he screams like that because he is on fire. What a stupid genre. I dunno. [editline]03:47PM[/editline]
It has to include some kind of actual musical instrument, otherwise it's just a douchebag with a microphone.
So (c)rap in other words.
Probably faggots like avenge sevenfold
Probably faggots like avenge sevenfold
I was going to mention them but then I realised they weren't prominent enough to be considered.
Some of it's actually pretty good. But i still prefer The Dead Kennedy's.
For metalcore, listen to: The Cro-Mags Agnostic Front early Hatebreed (first album) Reign Supreme Downpresser Creatures Sabertooth Zombie Madball Sick of It All Merauder www.myspace.com/undadaice <---- One of the best metallic hardcore bands around www.myspace.com/reignsupremehardcore <---- again, one of the best metallic hardcore bands around www.myspace.com/downpresser805 <------ Best metallic hardcore band north of los angeles, 2nd best modern metallic hardcore band www.myspace.com/weareallcreatures <----- Best modern metallic hardcore band, hands fucking down, the way they blend black metal imagery, the maddening fury of hardcore and the bone crushing heaviness of metal just fits together seemlessly. Getting a creatures tattoo, for sure. actually I just forgot about ringworm ringworm is the best modern metallic hardcore band around or maybe palehorse or maybe steel trap? it could possibly be folsom LOL HIDDEN SUGGESTIONS I still like creatures the most though Rise and Fall is very good too
Disturbed or slipknot, but there's so many different genres now & since all the stupid people witch make up the majority listen to snoop-dog or some 50cent bullshit this generation would be remembered by some stupid rap shit.
Half you guys are retarded. The generation won't be remembered for forgettable pop music like Soulja Boi or whatever because it's just that: forgettable. The bands that will be remembered are popular bands that are doing something new and creative, Mastodon being a prime example.
First it's because stuff like Hollywood Undead are getting labeled rapcore, a subgenre of metal and i've had a lot of classmates that claim to be metalheads cause they listen to them.
I thought they were getting called 'Screamo-Crunk?' Or is that only in Kerrang! and Metal Hammer? That's besides the point, they're still terrible. I hope our generation isn't remember for that type of music, nu-metal or emo. People in the future would look back and think 'Wow, that was a terrible time for music' if that happens.
The Badage boys?
This generation is garbage, therefore the music to be remembered is garbage.
The Badage boys?
Who?
Metallica is from the 80's
To say that one band defines each decade is retarded so don't humor his hypothesis. [editline]09:24PM[/editline]
wow this decade is not going to be remembered for rock rock is dead. 00s will be remembered for the rise of electronic
God I hope not but you may be right :sob:
I still think this will be precursor to the New Wave Of Thrash Metal in the 10's...
.
Green day was pretty much the start of punk music. They're pretty old.
Wait I vaguely recall a few bands known as the Ramones and the Sex pistols in the 70s but no one would remember them anymore. [/sarcasm] [editline]09:35PM[/editline]
Stop trollign, Green Day maed punk msuic what it is todai
You mean made it suck? No Green day was a punk band when they made Dookie in the 90s now they are alternative and punk has not existed since the 80s and had been declining since 1975. I don't know who misdefined punk as green day but they need to be smacked.
Jonas Brothers <3 <3 <3!!!!
Jonas brothers is the absolute worst band in history,i can't believe people like that horrible, terrible noise they call "music",i say Metallica would be this generations greatest.
Half you guys are retarded. The generation won't be remembered for forgettable pop music like Soulja Boi or whatever because it's just that: forgettable. But they deserve to be, because they're great.
Nickleback Audioslave Linkin Park Matchbox 20 The Fray Dave Mathews band Life House Killswitch Engage Probably a few others but I think this sums it up.
Disturbed or slipknot, but there's so many different genres now & since all the stupid people witch make up the majority listen to snoop-dog or some 50cent bullshit this generation would be remembered by some stupid rap shit.
Also Slipknot is a band for people who dont know what real music is until they find it and then they slowly drift away from them. Disturbed on the other hand is a good band but is nowhere near deserving to be remembered by the generation to come. As for metalcore Im a die hard Killswitch Engage fan, and a lot of people like their new stuff with howard even tho i loved jesse leach as their singer I think Howard perfected the art.
If the Jonas Brothers is even somewhat regarded as the band of the '00s, I'm going to kill them with a wooden spoon.
Limp Bizkit yo yo yo.
That is the 90's mainly Eminem and green day some good people to remember but then there is all the shit Kayne west is a gay fish !
I'd like it to be Muse, but that's hoping too much.
It depends who you ask. Fans of heavy metal are going to remember today's music differently than someone who mostly listens to country. Just like the other decades, they could each be remembered for a lot of different things.
Weezer. Red Album, bitches
This whole thread is pointless. Too many opinions.
00s will not be known a band, but rather for Guitar Hero. You know it's true.
Hopefully the 10's will shine with some decent sounding music.
Tool.
Unfortunately it probably won't be the good old music. 1. Boston 2. Journey 3. Rush 4. Blue Oyster Cult 5. The Who And don't even think that it stops here. I could go on forever. I hope that this generation would still be remembered 70's and 80's rock bands. Music just isn't like what it used to be. Rap and hip hop has took over alot of people these days. :(
Linlcon Park and Cold Play are the only 2 I can pull off the top of my head. That is, the only 2 that I know EVERYONE knows, not just Metalhead exclusive stuff that I've seen here.
yes i don't like rap therefore music just ain't like it used to be
That would be because rap is shit.
