Posting again for Coldplay
They're completely unique to 00's and are liked/known by most of the general populace.
Also,
Don't bitch just because you don't like them.
Maybe, come the 2010's, the general public will begin to appreciate real music again, and the 2000's will indeed be known as "when it all fell apart", a decade dedicated to money, greed, loud obnoxious music and pop stars obsessed with their image.
There's a few bands that you should be mentioning from each year.
50 - Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Louis, etc
60 - Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jefferson Airplane, Coltrane, The Kinks, The Who, etc
70 - Led Zeppelin, The Punk Era bands, Talking Heads, etc
80 - Queen, The Clash, Billy Idol, Michael Jackson, etc
90 - Nirvana, Radiohead, White Zombie, The Offspring, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, etc
00 - The White Stripes, The Hives, the Strokes, The Vines, and all the musicians that didn't suck sweaty horse cock this decade.
This generation will be remembered by Linkin Park/Green Day/Panic at the Disco/Fallout Boy/My Chemical Romance.
Previous Generations and Future Generations will both want us Purged, And on that evidence, I wouldn't argue against it.
You will remember the bands that you liked and enjoyed at the time, but the general population will sadly remember The Jonas Brothers.

If they were really as huge a band as you guys are making them out to be, I would have heard the name, or heard some of their songs on the radio.

I think Radiohead is still very relevant today. Especially with how In Rainbows was released.

How do you not know them? They were one of the big four out of Seattle and one of the leaders of the alternative rock era. You know Rage Against the Machine? After they broke up and Soundgarden disbanded, they formed a little group called Audioslave, which you may have heard of. I dunno.
I don't get it either
I think The Killers are going to be the band that defines the 2000s, along with coldplay
And, how can you not heard of soundgarden? They were huge!
Never heard soundgarden. Or maybe I have just not known the name of them. And maybe they weren't as big in sweden as in the rest of the world.
Who the fuck is soundgarden?

The 00's will probably be remembered as the generation of Boy Bands and the beginning of Nerd Rock/Comedy Rock.
