california can have those nice-weather bastards
if your beach isn't too cold to swim in 11 and a half months out of the year then you just get the fuck out of this thread ya hear
Wait, there's actually a time when the ocean isn't 40 degrees?
I guess around July it gets to 50...
Also, Oregon is better, etc.
Oregon Coast is the most beautiful place I've ever been. Moe's restaurant in Lincoln is the best shit.

is Moe's the big blue seafood place by the dock? if so, that place is pretty delicious
edit: just looked it up, I guess it's called Mo's, but yeah, I went there last summer with my girlfriend. It was really busy, but good. There's also the Pelican, i think it's closer to Newport, some bomb-ass clam chowder
i don't remember the food at mo's very well but i think i remember spitting ice all over the table
first montana, now alaska? i vote we annex hawaii into the northwest empire next, i hear they have much nicer weather.
Nicer?
40-50f with moderate cloud cover is the best weather. I don't know what makes you think that blazing hot temperatures and stupid high humidity that makes you constantly feel like a walking ball of slime is nice.
Shit even on a 80f day here in Montana my room is like 95. The air conditioner going out for a few weeks this summer didn't help at all.

My philosophy is when its cold and raining, you can still control how wet/ cold you're getting. When its hot and humid, you can't really control how wet/ hot you're getting.

This has been my way of life for the past 17 years. I don't really like places like Florida or Hawaii because you just can't really affect how warm/cold you are beyond your environment.
oh god i had to spend eight months in mississippi last year, i now realize why people there are generally undereducated. anyone with a decent education would see that the deep south is a fucking terrible place to live and vacate immediately. most humid and disgusting experience of my entire life, plus hurricanes.
Whenever I go to Tillamook I end up feeling mildly depressed. It almost feels like the town is falling apart, except that goddamn cheese factory is still holding the place together.

It's cause the place smells like cow shit.
I love the weather around here, but if it wasn't so cloudy, I'd probably be really into astronomy.
man... it was supposed to be sunny today
Sunny as shit here! :v. Gotta love the arrival of spring in Montana, all sunny and bright except it's still cold. I could just stand in sunlight and do nothing and it would be really nice.
man... it was supposed to be sunny today
Morning fog gave way to some sunny blue skies. At 50 degrees I am just fine with this.
of course, as soon as it starts getting nice back home, rain, lightning, and dust storms hit arizona :(
Anyone here ever been to Olympia/Tumwater Washington? I used to live there.
so am I really the only proud Washingtonian that gets pissy when it's cold out?
i gotta say i feel pretty alone
Yeah I'm not sure it's possible to be a proud Pacific Northwesterner that gets upset with the cold. Try California?

I live just past Shelton.
Astronaut Tom Marshburn took some photos over Washington while it was clear out.

Lake Washington/ Lake Sammamish and their surrounding cities.
Its funny to see Lake Union and the cut look so small when it seems to take forever to get through it.

Mt. St. Helens
oh yeah, I totally forgot, my friends and I started a Northwest-themed graphic tee/apparel company a few years ago, I even made this thread about it, you guys might remember it, it's called Dusty Lumber. i've since dropped out of the project, and it slowed down quite a bit while everyone's transitioning into being grown-ups, but stawicki is still doing things with it. very, very cool apparel celebrating the Pacific Northwest in all its beauty, feel free to check that shit outtt.
Anybody been to or live in Medford or Ashland? I attend SOU in Ashland. Feeling a bit too close to California tbh

do you know garrett
uh no
uh no
damn. I figure there's like 4 people in ashland and garrett is one of them and you are another so you were bound to know each other. Guess not though.
I think SOU has around 5,000 students, and I'm not as outgoing as some people here.
for my 21st I plan to go to an arcade bar in Portland
