Videodrome is an odd movie.

Eraserhead is also an odd movie.
Needs more Heavy Metal.

Obviously you've never read the magazines.
Been posted already, but "Heavy Metal".
Also "Ed Wood".
I'd consider The Road Warrior to be slightly cultish. It had a big following with a smaller group of people. However, my cult film is definitely Buckaroo Banzai.

You could argue Blade Runner as well, but there's a few points against it with Harrison Ford. I still find it to be pretty cultish.
donnie darko def

donnie darko is not a cult film, it's appreciated by teenagers for being "mind-blowing" when it's actually got a shitty plot and a "mind-bending" twist
basically one teenager watched it, showed it to his friends, they assumed it was cool because they had never heard of it, and thus donnie darko perpetuated into what it is now
ask any teenager if they've seen it, and they'll say "yeah i've seen donnie darko, it was SOOOOO cool!"
The Warriors, great movie, great game.
Fine Since people say Shaun of the Dead isn't a cult film here's one from Edgar Wright that is a Cult Film That I love

I wouldn't call Scott Pilgrim a cult film, either. It was developed for a full audience release, and didn't take any chances. Usually when defining a cult film, you look for it to be out there, but also artistic in its own respects. Whether that's in a plot, the cinematography, or the acting, it's up to the director. Scott Pilgrim had none of those characteristics. I can sum it up like this: Guy gets girl, guy fights guys, guy gets girl. Add some "VIDEO GAMES WOW" in there, and you have the film in basic.

Quoted from Wikipedia
A cult film (also known as a cult movie/picture or a cult classic) is a film that has acquired a highly devoted but specific group of fans. Often, cult movies have failed to achieve fame outside the small fanbases; however, there have been exceptions that have managed to gain fame among mainstream audiences. Many cult movies have gone on to transcend their original cult status and have become recognized as classics; others are of the "so bad it's good" variety and are destined to remain in obscurity. Cult films often become the source of a thriving, obsessive, and elaborate subculture of fandom, hence the analogy to cults. However, not every film with a devoted fanbase is necessarily a cult film. Usually, cult films have limited but very special, noted appeal. Cult films are often known to be eccentric, often do not follow traditional standards of mainstream cinema and usually explore topics not considered in any way mainstream—yet there are examples that are relatively normal. Many are often considered controversial because they step outside standard narrative and technical conventions.
Okay, so you've copy-pasted what I just said, except from Wikipedia. Basically, you got mad because I said your film wasn't a cult film. Anyway, it still isn't a cult film. It's still in theaters, and still got critical acclaim from reviewers.
Ex: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/scott_pilgrims_vs_the_world/
It used mainstream actors, and appealed to more than a small audience. It wasn't "so bad it was good" either. I'm failing to see where your point is.
I still think Dark City is a pretty strange movie, with a small following of fans.
Here you go:

You guys have named some of my most favored movies, but these two are great as well:
Clerks

Mallrats

Would you guys say Kids is a cult movie? Remember the one from the mid-90's about kids & AIDS?

Does Dead Alive count?
Here's how this thread is appearing to turn out: People post a poster of a popular movie and insist that it is a cult film. I mean I can understand not knowing if a film is technically cult or not but come on, Shaun of the Dead? Scott Pilgrim vs the World? Fight Club? Donnie Darko?
