I stayed away from drugs as a kid because I thought that they would make life without drugs seem boring. I was right.
i remember thinking there were two kinds: weed and needles. I thought that acid and coke and heroin were all the same stuff just different slang names and that they all had to be injected. I also thought that weed and coke etc gave the exact same effect and wondered why anyone would willingly stick a needle in them when they could just smoke.
I never took what the anti-smoking/anti-drug people said, because even from a young age it sounded like bullshit
also smoking weed is the greatest decisions i have made so far in my life, it is really fun, and i have made tons of friends because of it
I grew up super anti-drugs. Even when all my close friends smoked cigs I just chilled with them sober. Everything I heard about drugs were the typical mass media shit. Weed is addictive, LSD melts your brain etc etc. I decided to experiment with shrooms when I had a free day in Amsterdam. (Because I was avoiding smoking weed at the time) Never looked back since. Maybe its because the openness from they talk about.
I was really anti durgs until like 2 years ago.
Well I definitely didn't think it was going to be like this. shit.
i didnt think about drugs AT ALL until i was like 13 or 14 i never even had an opinion because it just never occurred to me to have one and then middle school and i started hearing about weed so i googled it and was like 'yeah i want that' so i got high and it was good
How old were you when you first smoked?
14 i'm 18 now [editline]22nd March 2014[/editline] i actually posted a thread here like the day after i smoked for the first time
I grew up as a kid under Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" anti-drug campaign, where the propaganda swung heavily into rhetoric and political bullshit instead of actual facts. I didn't know what drugs were, but they must've been incredibly scary and dangerous if the US was having a war on drugs. When I was about 10, my mom came up to check on me before bed one night, and she found me in the corner of my room, crying and distressed. When she asked me what was wrong, I said "I'm scared of drugs." When I was in college, I had the chance to try weed (out of a Volcano; spoiled by the first time). It was substantially better than I had ever imagined. I re-examined what I'd been told about drugs, and decided that my entire generation had been lied to by the system it trusted and looked up to.

I used to believe that things like pot and coke would make you feral. I was like 6, but it was a big fear of mine. I wouldn't even drink cola, because I'd get the two confused sometimes.
Drugs in general, to me; are just new weird experiences. They can help you forever orr they can poop on ye face. it just depends on how your mindset is going through the experience.
i already thought drugs were a really interesting topic at age of 10. i had my first experience with cannabis a few years later and since then i've pretty much been wanting to do whatever drugs i can get my hands on.
I did not even really have an opinion other than "Do not do it because the government says no.". But as soon as I opened my mind to it I completely changed my opinion.
