When I was in high school, some guy threw a chair across the room and the leg of it hit me in the chest, I beat the living shit outta him in front of the teacher. A few days later I went the shop and the guy who I battered was there with about 7 friends, needless to say, they beat the shit outta me. So you see? even if you win a fight you still end up getting beat up, I still kept my dignity and thought back even though there was 8 of them, I made one guys nose bleed. I came off a hell of a lot worse from 8 guys though.
I just shoot people in the face now.

Learn Judo or at least some pain compliance holds. If someone tries to get into a fist fight with you hold them until an authority figure comes. You NEVER get into trouble if you only use PC holds because the people around you will say exactly what happened; The other guy tried to fight and you held him down until the teacher arrived.
Also this is kind of off topic, but to people who say "Don't fight, settle things like adults", shut up. Even in the case where he DOES want to settle things without violence other people may not, and even then adults resort to violence all the damn time.
In Dubai (when I use to live there), if someone started a fight. They would bring at least 50 other people with them (I like to call it "Arabic Kung-fu").
