I wish I was that good with flash animation. I make some decent stuff, but it's not as smooth and fancy as people like that
To be honest that video wasn't even smooth. If anything only the head tweening was smooth and that's easily done with changing tween ease.
I found this video rather entertaining.

funny how now equestria daily prefers to pretend that 4chan doesn't exist
I told you this would happen Facepunch
But you didn't listen, now it's too late.
Because the majority of people whom watch the show aren't "attention whoring fucks". Most of them are just normal people. I'll admit, that there is a massive misappropriation of talent going towards pony fan music, writing, movies, and even arts and crafts, with third party stuffed toys looking better than the ones Hasbro makes. But belittling them for enjoying it and utilizing their talent isn't something anyone really has the right to do.
If they are so normal people then why they want to accosiate themselfs with the creepy assburgers that makes up the face of the fandom by calling themselfs "bronies"?

Because the definition of "Brony" does not mention any mental health problems. There is no implication either way between being a brony and having autism.
I am a brony because the definition applies to me.
It's much like the term "Atheist". It describes the lack of belief in a deity, nothing more, nothing less.
Brony describes liking the show MLP. Nothing more nothing less.
Anyone stating that you have to have autism to be a brony is guilty of the "No true Scotsman" fallacy.

There are people who like the show and there are people who actively identify themselves as bronies.
I watched one episode and I thought it was okay. Doesn't make me a brony and even if I'd like the show and follow it, I wouldn't talk about it unless in places discussing only that or when asked about it and certainly I wouldn't tell people that I'm a brony.
It's not the fact that people like the show that upsets other people. It's the attitude "I like a cartoon about ponies and I'm proud of it" that pisses people off.
pls. no more ponycrap
Not everyone who likes the show is a part of the "brony" subculture.
ma merge...
Now watch them remake Bratz and gain a cult following

I could be wrong about this, but I think the reason most people associate themselves with fandoms is less because they feel proud of watching a cartoon and more because they want to find other people with the same interests.

I had a kid harass me with message after message on tumblr once because I said I didn't hate the show but I'm also not a brony, and apparently it's physically impossible to escape the definition if you don't care to flip the channel out of rage. Honestly I see 'brony' as being a dedicated fan, someone who would voluntarily take up the name instead of letting a pack of rabid fanboys label you as 'one of the herd'. I'm not a whovian but I liked the 10th doctor's episodes a lot, I saw Rise of the Guardians and thought it was fun, but I'm not a 'frostitute', let alone part of the next-tier of its fandom that gave itself a name for pairings like 'jackrabbit' or 'frostbite' or 'sweet dreams' (tooth fairy+sandman? jesus)
Now watch them remake Bratz and gain a cult following
I wrote up a thingy in the deviant art thread that sums up my thoughts on that kinda thing. TL;DR I really doubt there will be another 'bronies' phenomena, despite new shows trying to bank on that crowd and pander to them pre-emptively.
also there was this thing
to the whole 'bronies in public being obnoxious' topic, the most pone I've ever seen out and about was like one or two nerdy lookin' guys with a logo on a shirt walking around with friends. Outside of that, there's one really awkward kid I remember who sat in the general area of my group of friends at college, though he just kinda played games on his laptop or watched other people play games on theirs. (Even at an anime convention, the mlp crowd seemed to be shunned and pushed into a corner, it was weird)
then again there's things like that pizza hut video with really obnoxious guys singing a song and prancing into the restaurant then being more obnoxious as they got reactions from people on tape. not sure if that was a miracle that many doofs could congregate in one place, or if they were the greatest incendiary trolls of all
but, we're on the internet, where the attitude runs rampant. You can't escape the loudest idiots out there nomatter the subject, from pones to tom preston's fanbase to politics
Who goes around saying that, I know there might be a t shirt or something but that's not the point. I ask this out of ignorance and not objection.
People putting this on facebook. Your friend going "hey have you seen the MLP show? I love it, I'm a brony", and the Tshirts you've mentioned. Kids forming a group in school and calling themselves "bronies". There's a lot more of this. Even avatars do it to some degree. I know the argument against what I just said is "people put what they like in their avatar" yeah I agree, but ponies were and still are associated with bronies, not with just people who like the show. It's pretty much like wearing a Tshirt with it. You actively identify yourself as the member of the subculture.
Why not just treat it like everything else? I like Lord of the Rings but I don't join a subculture dedicated to it and tell everyone that I'm a member of the group. Same for everything else I like. If I happened to like MLP I wouldn't join the subculture dedicated to it either. Nobody will give a slightest shit that you like it. But the moment you start acting obnoxious about it, people will start to care.
And before you go "people put what the like into their avatars" yeah they do. Lets say that a lot of people on this forum use a lambda avatar. And then an group is created and it uses lambda as their symbol. People with the lambda symbol will be associated with the group regardless of being a member or not. Sorry bronies ruined that for you. Everyone with pony avatar is assumed to be a brony since the brony shitstrom.

Finding other people with same interests doesn't have to involve telling everyone around you that you're part of the subculture and being obnoxious about it. You can use the damn internet to find other people who share your interests without making it a big deal. Instead of going "hey do you like X? Are you a *insert name for a member of a subculture dedicated to X*? Because I am... No? You don't know X? I'm gonna send it to you and make you a *insert name for a member of a subculture dedicated to X*" just go "have you even seen Y?.. No? Okay I'll send you a link see if you'll like it". If you acted normally about it, people would treat it normally. Act obnoxious about something, anything, and people will think you're obnoxious. Simple as that.
shoot I forgot about bronies on facebook
that I can understand being angry about, those are almost always the obnoxious types

Well, that's what I'd do if I liked the show. That's how people should act about it. Nobody would care that way.

I can see your point, but I don't think simply identifying with a subculture is enough to be obnoxious. I have a couple friends that would probably identify as bronies, but they never talk about it when I'm around.

Well, there are degrees of obnoxious. Someone might have his own thing that you think is pretty weird but he doesn't bring it up unless asked about, and there are people who make it the center of their life.
[editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
I prefer the policy of let people do whatever they want within their rights and leave it at that.
Being a douchebag or a creep is within people's rights but nevertheless it bothers me. There can't be laws for everything. Including being obnoxious. People sort this out among themselves. Usually hating the obnoxious ones.

If they go out of their way to make sure they're not bothering you, then they're not being obnoxious.
When I started with Facebook, I liked an MLP page. Much later I found out that liking a page puts it on your wall and shouts it out to everyone.
I apologized for that, I didn't want confront other people with it.
I like the show, and I'm not afraid to admit it, but many of the people I know simply don't want to hear about it. I know I'll annoy them if I mention it to them.
I ironically joined 'real men watch my little pony' on FB after a friend did, way before I knew this was a thing. I still knew I could go to my page and delete the notification that I 'liked' it
never left it, it's like watching an already wrecked train lay in a heap and smolder for all eternity
man how could I forget about the facebook brownies
So, is this MLP general now or what?
So, is this MLP general now or what?
talkin' bout bronies who make themselves uncomfortably public like the OP video is on topic
don't talk about who is best pone and we're good
I actually think this is a good opportunity for people who'd otherwise just sit and rant about "bronies shoving things down our throat" to give real world examples in which they've been roped to a chair in front of a TV with their eyes taped open
I've never seen anyone in my town, or anywhere else I've been, wearing pony paraphernalia.
most of the time it's something you'd have to look for, like a logo
I think of the few I've seen, I saw this or something similar on a shirt twice
[t]http://www.deviantart.com/download/272665635/rbd_neon_cutie_mark_lock_screen___wp_by_rainbowderpy-d4ic65f.png[/t]
or maybe even a color-schemed sweatband wristband thing with a logo on it
heck, I'd bet most of it has been coming from hot topic at this point
on the other side, there's this photographer I know (who pretty much has a whole thread dedicated to him in the photo section) who is in anime con mode 24/7 and doesn't hold back when he's going to any kind of meet-up. He's also the only facebook brawny I actually know

He must be pretty ballsy/fucking stupid to wear that stuff in public.
He must be pretty ballsy/fucking stupid to wear that stuff in public.
still not sure what to make of him, though he surrounds himself with con-folk so costumes and goofy anime apparel isn't ENTIRELY out of the norm with them. going to denny's and then the local mall on a saturday dressed like that is something else though
I think blissful ignorance comes packaged with accidental overloads of something akin to ballsiness, which is what makes dumb people obnoxiously outspoken about things they like or oppose or whatever.

I'd prefer not making a new thread about them since we're pushing it on this animated joke about them, but a few links wouldn't be a problem since they're on topic in here. I really hope people will understand that these are extremes, and in some cases outright trolls who don't give a damn. I remember there was one though, the genuinely autistic guy who went to mcdonalds to get a toy and was playing with them at his table, I think he went back to the counter to trade for a different toy at some point and creeped out the girl. Later he made an apology video explaining a bit of his disability and showing he understood in hindsight what he did and how it was wrong. Felt sorry for the guy having to go out and explain himself like that
i think this thread has had enough lets keep the bronies posting to a minimum
