Speaking of bronies, even I despise the ones who buy shit from Hot Topic.
99% of them I see are the guys/girls who are like "Mlp XDDD rainbow dash!!!" that have Hot Topic MLP Shirts and the bracelets that say brony(another Hot Topic item) and all that shit. They are basically attention whores that are sticking to the latest trend.
Some of the people who buy MLP stuff from Hot Topic might actually be cool, but the majority of people who buy MLP stuff from Hot Topic are just shitheads.
What about WeLoveFine?
It's quite expensive but that's where I got my t-shirt.
Majority of bronies are plain weird, imo. Don't like em.
WeLoveFine is the shit.
50$ for a hoodie is a bit much don't you think? Although they have a wide variety of good looking pony shirts imo.

I'd like to know your sample size and method of testing.

WeLoveFine is a good website, got my t-shirt there as well.

2. This is not true because hardcore bronies are socially inept.
An 18 (roughly) year old sitting on Santa's lap (for an MLP doll-pony thingy) is not somehow socially inept?
we can state with a 95% confidence that between 4.0% and 6.8% of the internet-using US population strongly identify as bronies, or approximately 7 to 12.4 million people.
i'm not sure if 20 people can count as a majority of 7000000 people
To be honest that video wasn't even smooth. If anything only the head tweening was smooth and that's easily done with changing tween ease.
Yeah, but I mean all the freehand animation, all my stuff is solid objects that rely on tweening. I got all that down pat, it's just freehand / smears that I haven't used. Everything looks slightly clunky
I think as long as you don't refer back to ponies in every fucking sentence you ever speak then I don't mind, but it's when people refer to things irl as things from my little pony
It's like how I like to watch The Walking Dead, you don't see me around farms running towards people screaming "MA GAWD IT'S DA WALKERS"

It's even more ridiculous when you know this shit started as a joke done by /co/ which accidentally became a thing when it attracted some morons who genuinely thought it'd be okay to be something like that.
Teens or adult men watching a show directed towards little girls is nothing acceptable no matter how much you obsess about it.

I bet if you got a sample of people who regularly watch anime you'd get the exact same result.
Stop generalising plz
I have two pony shirts and I wear them regularly, but I mainly bought them because Max Gilardi is one of my favorite animators and I wanted to support him. I wear them because I think they're funny, so personally I don't see anything wrong with it.
People rarely ask me about them out of pure curiosity and I tell them that it's internet black humor, and they've all been pretty cool about that. I've owned them for 9+ months.
I guess what I really wanted to know was; Am I weird for the reason that I wear shirts to support a person's talent, and for wearing them simply because they entertain me?

QFT
Surveys like these are avoided by people who don't want to associate with the fandom or the cultures. You're right that it'd be the exact same with people who watch anime, because people who watch it and don't do anything else don't enter the survey.

Dude. It's just a fucking TV show.
I don't tell my friends (who are teenagers) that they can't watch Breaking Bad because it's for adults, but somehow watching something made for people younger than me makes me a horrible person.
Even though it's just a TV show.
And it's not a big deal.
So go away please.
Most bronies I've met are female teens (Go figure) who don't actually watch the show and are simply trying to be different and stick with the current trend on the internet.

GEE i wonder why they are hated so much then??????????????
I'll admit (though this is a surprise to no-one here) that I am a huge brony. However, I don't bring it up unless directly asked or challenged about it. I became one because I believed that I could do some genuine good as one, and so far have made good on that. I am a part of a group of military bronies that do a lot of stuff. Charity drives, events and whatnot. It makes me happy to help out, and enjoy the experience along with other soldiers, marines, airmen, sailors, coasties, and members of other countries' armed forces. A myriad of different people from all around the globe. We get together occasionally and carouse like any person in the military would do, while also enjoying the show and events. We are planning a charity 5K run as well as doing donation drives to charities in the near future. We are going to the major conventions and providing security, as well as doing panels and what have you. I love it, and that to me is what being a "brony" should be about: Helping others.

so what are bronies exclusive to being nice people?? hell i can go out and do -all of that- without resorting to watching a childrens cartoon

He didn't say that. Some bronies do good things. In a group you can do more good than alone, so the military group he mentioned was an opportunity. Sure, bronies aren't the only ones who give to charity, but since it's a group of people, they can get more done.

It isn't really "resorting" to it. It is us doing these things while united with two common bonds: our like of the show and community, and our camaraderie as military personnel. Also, our training makes us great picks for volunteer security, we do it just because we can. No pay, long hours, but it is totally worth it. It is a pretty tight group. We are all professionals, and act accordingly in execution of our duties and events. There are a lot of really interesting people in our little community, I have met some close buddies through our group (FOB Equestria). Point being, that our common interest in the show is something that is a strength, not a weakness of any sort.

I believe the correct term is pegasisters, coming from my limited knowledge from watching Joe Goes Bronies
