Because everyone who goes on facepunch is a nerd :shivdurf:
80 posts and he already knows all of us. THANK YOU SAVIOR!.
In the future, OP, don't do this.
p.s. I'm on an alt.
CharlieCrane is a nerd.
only reqs i meet are 1 & 2 and little bit of 3
does this mean i'm not a nerd?
I, personally, am not ashamed of being a nerd, and never want to change. Nerds aren't always basement-dwelling, girl-repelling sociobags, you know. This guide applies more to the people who are socially retarded to the point of awkwardness, and have 0-1 friends.
1. Don't let your hobbies define you.
I like my guide better.

No nerds were invented by bad american TV, some people spend too much time on computers, but they aren't the skinny, huge glasses wearing things you see on TV, their normal people just more into computers or :science:.

Shit like this gives an awful impression of nerds. It's all "We're so nerdy, want to Gamma my Ypsilon :smug:".
Also in response to OP only around a good 30% of facepunchers are actually the stereotypical nerd
Maybe 10% are mentally handicapped and 40% are gay, but most aren't nerds
Finally, I would count myself as a nerd, but so what? Most of my friends are too.
I'm on the computer a lot but I get pussy you just gotta find spare time.
Because nerdism isn't the norm, doesn't it make us cool? Frankly i wouldn't want to be one of the "cool" people...their lives are so dull.
I am a self titled geek who has been camping, hiking, climbing, abseiling, ziplining, paragliding. I wear black and either very geeky t-shirts or band t-shirts. I have my own style, so what the hell is wrong with that. If people don't like me for it, then that's their problem, not mine.
Horrible fucking advice.
Attempting to fit in by copying someone else will only end up on disaster. Be what you feel comfortable as, as long as it isn't unhygienic, and just read the news and stuff so you know the current events and have something to talk about.
And that's it really, if you're not dull then you'll probably do fine socially.
The sad thing is that my computer/gaming time is always my lowest priority.. I just never get asked out or anything :(
Just try to be more sociable, speak to people at school and try to talk about normal subjects, like the OP mentioned. Make new friends, to to get invited places and invite other people out too.
Tenk u i am no mor nerd nao

same here :( Pretty sad.
I spend a lot of my time in my room...
Yet I am actually very socially accepted...
:tinfoil: its a mystery
Your Appearance - Dress in the latest styles and one that suits you (Try to avoid dark clothing, Or anything with chains hanging off it)
Lol. Would you like everyone to make a bleeting sound while they're at it?
Baaaaa
I dont meet any of the criteria, Lol.
1)I spend my free time playing games but so what? thats not nerdy.
2)I help new players.
3)No problems with students, teachers however... anyway finished school a year ago working now. going to UNI next year.
4)people only laugh with me.
5)My girlfriend and friends are my pride and joy.
6)my room is white with a brown desk white cuboards. looks nice ;)
7)well im not being sarcastic.
In this day and age gaming is becoming common, I like to mod games but I value many other things. The turth is even "popular" people enjoy gaming, thats a fact even if its console gaming I have a 360 and proud of it had a lot of good times with my mates on it.
Not every nerd is completely shy.
Most of the ones I know are so chatty, they're annoying beyond belief.
I went to this new place in the city that's like an arcade, but with XBoxes and Wiis and Rock Band centres and stuff, and there was this kid who looked and talked exactly like Elias from Clerks 2, and he wouldn't shut the fuck up. His transitions from one topic to the next were sudden and the topics were random and unrelated.
My room is light orange, I don't have to put up with you.
MAKE SURE IT'S A THUMPER.Chicks love them, you know what I mean, not the whiny "castrated" bikes.
And then go to the chicks house and rev up to about 30,000 RPM. She will be all over you.

This.
Oh yes, and I tried telling my girlfriend -
"Hey baby, you're a stargate. I'll open you up and i'll go through you. It's going to be a whole new ride!"
I'll never take that approach again.
