i'm stuck on what kinda song to make..
i'm stuck on what kinda song to make..
Well you seem to like dubstep, judging by your soundcloud... :v:
I think I'm going to add a new rule ; Don't ask people if you should submit your song in the thread, it is YOU who decide whether it's good enough or not and music is about making stuff for yourself and not others. And don't post a couple of songs asking which one you should send in because as I've said, music is for your own pleasure and it is only you who can decide which song YOU like the best and think should be on the cd. /rant

Alright, THIS time I should be able to help, considering I just got a (wait for it) BRAND NEW SOPRANO SAXOPHONE! :smug: [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Also, maybe this time around we could do with a few more instrumental songs and less electronic music? Maybe? D:>

no MORE ELECTRONIC MUSIC!!
no MORE ELECTRONIC MUSIC!!
UP THE IRONS! oh wait
Electronic music gets boring after a while :saddowns: Or at least if you're going to have electronic music, add in some synthed-up vocals into the mix, like what Daft Punk etc do. Having fake instruments play continuously gets a little tiring if you listen to them one after the other. In my opinion.
There's still room until 24 tracks have been sent int.
So it doesn't matter who is participating, it's only the first 24 to submit? Also working on this: Planning on adding some form of melody as well.
Pretty much yeah.
brb guys killing myself, corrupt flp...
sweet found my cassette tape with grapevine on it
brb guys killing myself, corrupt flp...
http://www.thefruittree.info/index.php/corrupted-file-in-fl-studio/ maybe this can help..? I just did a quick Google search.
I only started working on this a few hours ago and tried to get as much quantity as I could to get a basic idea of what my melody structure may be. Be advised, its very early WIP, as in I only just started. So far I realise I have to fix some of the notes as they are a bit out of tune in some places and I also need to add more progression. This sample is the melody repeated twice to see how it sounds when repeated. I haven't done any mastering yet, obviously.

Pretty much finished my submission, going to do a little bit of touching up before mastering.
It sounds like you aren't using a specific key and time signature for the song. I'd suggest you read up on some basic music theory here because at the moment it seems very unorganized and chaotic. If, however, you are sticking to a time signature and key then you should play around with the volume of the different instruments in your music to make sure the listener can feel a definite beat.
Need someone to fix my db level since Audacity doesent work on W7...
Need someone to fix my db level since Audacity doesent work on W7...
It does.
It works perfectly, you probably just got digital aids. [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] Soundcloud however wont fucking work for me :emo:
'Ey, Mr. Own here. Just wanted to tell you guys that I'm still going to be in the collab.
Why cant you just make the whole thing with unlimited slots and just several "CDs".
Why cant you just make the whole thing with unlimited slots and just several "CDs".
Gregah said something along the lines of "Having limited slots makes people want to make better quality work so then can get on the album" earlier in this thread.
Yeah, I find that idiotic, as it is only about "first-come, first-served".
Yeah, I find that idiotic, as it is only about "first-come, first-served".
From what Gregah said, it sounded like he would pick the best submissions to go on the album, but I'm not exactly sure how he's doing it.
No he won't personally pick songs. It's all about who sends in first.
