IFAP Skirmish/Meetup Schedule thread - General

i do overnight with just a regular bdu and im usually good but we need to be ~matching~ plus ill get a mount for my 74u+m and a sight of some sort

I'll probably figure out some cheap East Bloc loadout to match you guys. Like a halfass Serb loadout or something because fairly current Serb BDUs are cheap as fuck.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if all of IFAP met up for a milsim event. Would it end up like Arma in real life?

im telling you guys july 2012 may be a florida milsim event thats worth coming too. If it all works out an official announcement will be made in May

Florida is quite a ways for me.

IFAP is so spread apart, only thing that sucks is the distance between everybody.

Would it end up like Arma in real life?[/QUOTE] No, its milsim, not a standard game, rules and schedules are critical and we'd be paying a substantial chunk of money to play anyways. Also, a large chunk of us don't play Arma with you guys, it would be different. Most importantly, we don't have vehicles to fuck around with however we please, and most of the time you guys get serious once contact starts anyways. The dicking around period both before and after the game would be... [I]interesting[/I], I think. In game, at least a chunk of us would be effective since we have a fair amount of regular players. We'd have to form a squad full of the best players and a squad of chairsofters for maximum entertainment. I think we have enough leaders, skilled players, and totally sweet weapons that we'd be pretty effective, as long as we can keep the younger and less experienced people on track and moving up. Either way, I think that this year or next we need to do another planned out meetup, start saving a bit of dosh guys.

I think the dicking around really helps. You see it in almost every war, people crack jokes and fuck around to help relieve stress. While it's not the same in Milsim, people will definitely appreciate it after a few days without getting to go home and shit like that.

If I go to Mason Relic and if my friend wants to go with me we might actually have a decent sized IFAP squad. He could be a designated marksman for us because he upgraded his M16 to suit that role.
