what are the gear requirements?
DCU's and proper Eyepro I think are the essentials. Everything else is just appreciated or useful like vests and so on. They recommend kneepads and headgear though.

I actually wear a medic patch on my gear next to my FP patch
[editline]13th April 2012[/editline]
Too bad I can't bring my 10/22 to this.
It's over 450fps with .32s tho :I
I like the role I was given, I'm going to buy myself a few different medic patches. Big IR one for my backpack, already ordered a cross for my shoulder and I want another 'Medic' for one of my arms and so on. It'll be neato. Being a Medic also puts me near the end of a stack when we breach buildings which is where I want to be.
Yeah, the way we're approaching multistory buildings is that our fireteam makes a beeline directly for the second floor while the first team hits the first floor. This way, we clear the first two floors at the same time, giving us surprise on the second floor, as well as a potential chance to create a foothold where an assault would have failed. So Code, you'll be following us up, but you'll be second to last, right ahead of out SAW gunner. (You can fire a SAW into and out of buildings, but not inside of them)
For the 3 and 4 story buildings, we regroup at the second floor staircase with both squads and attempt to launch the exact same assault.
I'll be happy to go over the details of our training sessions with you guys via voice chat, or we can act them out in basically any FPS.
Just keep in mind, our squad is the number one most breach oriented squad that we can make, and that is literally all we're going to do for the entire 20 hours. The game is absolutely won and lost in the MOUT site, despite all the FRAGO's and other objectives.
So the best things you can possibly have are lightweight gear/weapons, and any running/cardio that you can do ahead of time. Be ready for oodles of stairs and an infinite amount of short runs from building to building.

Well for your viewing pleasure:

Everything shown was pretty typical of my experience, but expect us to be doing more CQBing, less dicking around outside and potshots from 200 feet.
anyone going to May's HSP Wednesday wars?
I actually might this time around
Hey that's squad leaders vid. Hahaha.

TM MP5K of Felixs bullet hose of an M4 it is, then.
but...I need a back up
I'm bringing all my guns. Tavor, M4, Type 89 and my AK 74 so I'll have a spare if you need it.
I'm starting to get really stoked. I bought a SERPA for my XDm this morning before going into work and I had a great day as a result. Can't wait to hear that click.

We should do a tinychat sometime. This sounds good for me, more or less. We're going to be pacing ourselves right? Because if we keep bum rushing building after building like this I know I'll get tired out after awhile.
Hey that's squad leaders vid. Hahaha.
Nice, apparently someone in my squad had a helmet cam, but I never made it into the video.
I was in Alpha 1-1 with Meyers.
We did have a hilarious video that I'm in where pea grenade flies into a buddy of mine's crotch when we're all sitting around dead, but I can't find it.

Its gonna be pretty fast to my knowledge, but there'll be some pacing. A big chunk of our plan hinges on preplanning, so we never stack up outside the building for more than a second or two. We're gonna figure out what building we'll be taking and how before we leave our's and then moving in our breaching stack as quick as possible right to the entrance of the building.
Also, I see you, Felix, and I all have xbox. Practice/explanations in CoD4?

I'd have to find my xbox mic. Dunno where the fuck that thing went

Yo Michiganis, I'll go to this if any of you are interested. I'll be using DCU, so I'll be on the "Commies" team.
If I'm going to Mason Relic one of my friends is almost 100% certain he'll go with me. So we should be able to have a decent size IFAP squad as long as he's not stupid and only brings his unupgraded Well L96.

where is it being held?
I think it's usually at a field called Realms of Ruin, that's where the Fallout game is that I'm going to.

Hella sweet goggles, and maybe another battery or two to be safe.
Also, you two will need food while you're there and figure out if you're gonna be camping out on site Friday night or staying in a hotel. Code and I are likely gonna be in a hotel/motel, if we don't crash in my car on site.
Last year we were one of the first cars on site and got parking directly across from the mout, so we could rearm and swap gear in about a minute, and then be right back on field.
We'll probably just camp out in the car due to hella expensive travel expenses.
Oh, that reminds me. Notrabies is it just you and me carpooling and how much space will you have in your car for our gear? I want to know how compact I need to make my gear to stow it and all.
And I think I'm going to get an M500 and swap out the full stock for a real-steel cruiser grip for Blacksheep, I don't know if I'll leave it in your car for later on when we decide to switch roles or what have you or keep it on me. I'll have to wait and see.
Minus Goggles, Combat Shirt and a batch of pouches I'm essentially done with my Blacksheep loadout.

Ive got a pair of desert locusts.
Yeah, crashing in the car seems the most likely.
Is the game not continuing through the night?

Well if all goes as planned, Back_Slash will be with us too, which could make things a little tricky. Just go for smaller is better and we should be alright. Perhaps we can bring a tarp and park my car next to Felix's and throw a tarp across the top. Simple tent/gear haven with sleeping in the cars and stuff.
Also, another friend of mine is considering going, so that might limit our space more.
With smart space budgeting, we should be alright though.
It's a 22 hour straight game or something like that.
But to be honest I'm sure people are going to ditch to catch a few hours of sleep during it or crash inside of a building and what not. I didn't go over the schedule with myself quite yet either so I'm not entirely positive myself.
But you at least have to consider you don't want to show up last minute, and you also don't want to leave immediately after the game exhausted and tired out for a several hour long drive so there are buffer days involved probably.

Friday night is not game time, Saturday it goes all night until like 9AM Sunday.
Also, don't plan to drive back home Sunday, you will be dead tired and need to crash somewhere.
i saw this thread in the ticker and i am really sorry but i did not think it was going to be about airsoft
My setup for OPP is gonna be:
- suspenders rig with 4 mag pouches (holding 3 mags each), 2 canteens, 1 buttpack, 1 double pistol mag pouch, and either a 1911 holster or a Glock holster.
- Gonna bring my body armor, which I may or may not ditch during the game.
- CVC helmet & F1 helmet
- 2 sets of goggles just in case.
- M4 (thinking about using this as my primary since we'll be clearing buildings most of the time)
- FNC
- Glock 17
- 1911
- M1100 (need a shitload more shells)
- 12 stanag magazines
- 3 Glock mags
- 2 1911 mags
- 3 (lol) shells (getting a shitload more for the event)
- 4 7.4v 1800 mah lipos
- chemlights
- dead rag

What kind of car do you have? I'll try to conserve space but I don't plan to bring a ton.

So we're planning on June 29th through July 2nd? Four days? I'm going to see how far in advance I can request off. I'll take a vacation if I have to or call in sick whilst people shout at me and BB's bounce around the room.
And since everyone else is doing my kit so far:
* DCU Combat Shirt with Optional Jacket
* DCU Helmet Cover on a MICH 2000 (Possibly featuring a Contour Cam) x2 V-Lites (Red) and a Surefire. Revision Sawfly or Revision Fan Goggles.
* Merrell Sawtooth Boots
* Khaki RRV and RRV backpack. x7 single open-top pouches. (About 200~ rounds for my M4) x2 Pistol Mags Pouches, Utility Pouch and x2 Frag Pouches mounted on the sides of my pack.
* Blackhawk SERPA for my TM XDm
* Some sort of leg rig on my left leg. Will ditch it if I need to, and if I do I owe Notrabies $5 or something.
* Kneepads
* VFC M4
* M500 I'll buy and bring, either I'll bring it with me as a third weapon on my kit or leave in the car and use it later on or lend it someone. I'm also dragging my AK74, Tavor and Type 9 along incase I, or anyone else needs them.

2005 beat up Kia Optima. Not driving the Camaro anywhere that far.
Its got a fair amount of space in the trunk, and we can have 2 sleep easy in it. Also, one of our squad members has a big truck, so we'll probably throw most all of our gear in there and keep only the essentials.
