Evolution doesn't have a lot of proof. It has a lot of theories. Thus entitled The Theory of Evolution. A lot of their ideas cannot be proved. Creationism is more realistic. [editline]09:34PM[/editline] Oh and you totally make your thread sound like nobody is allowed to believe in Evolution. I know I'm disagreeing with it, but christ.

i don't believe evolution can be real. my pastor rationalized it to me like this: i know the bible is truth, because it tells of God's glory and explains his message to me. God made the earth around 6000 years ago, and the theory of evolution requires millions of years of life in order to be correct. i personally believe God created the earth with dinosaur bones buried in the soil in order to test our faith. only the true believers will get to Heaven.
but evolution is a concept that has much proof
HAHAHAHAHA  R U SRS?! There's a lot of books and pictures, and there are some dinosaurs, but we don't actually know what happened. I mean yea, there is a lot of theoretical evidence, but not any solid evidence.
A children's religious program produced by the Institute for Creation Research was broadcast over many conservative Christian radio stations in 2003-FEB. It described how evidence of live dinosaur DNA had been found in a dinosaur bone. If true, it would prove that the dinosaur was alive much more recently than 75 million years ago, because DNA could not possibly remain intact for that long. A writer at the Crying Voice in the Wilderness website was apparently referring to the same experiment whey they wrote: "Some fragments of DNA were found in supposedly 80 million year-old dinosaur bones. This means that the dinosaur bones are only a couple of thousand years old." There are numerous claims of fossilized footprints from humans or horses found within dinosaur footprints. 4 If true, then they would be evidence that dinosaurs and humans lived together in the same locale Genesis Park® describes a number of images drawn by Neanderthals and by humans in the Middle East which resemble dinosaurs. The suggestion is that the artists were drawing pictures of dinosaurs from memory of having seen the animals.
Where I see how you evolutionists and atheists don't believe in God etc, is because lack of evidence right? That's why I believe it, it makes me happier and I don't have to rely on evidence, I have faith. If it's not real, how will I know when I'm dead anyways? But that's actually why I DON'T believe in Evolution: lack of evidence. Although there was this thing on Discovery Channel called Discover Ardi, anyone know what I'm talking about? Looks interesting. I'm fascinated by world religions and archeology/geology when it comes to discovering history.
Institute for Creation Research

Genesis Park®
Sounds reputable :smug:

If you find a way to tie in evolution into religion, then you should be able to more easily convince people that evolution exists. Likewise, if you can convince them the Bible is meant to be as a moral guide and assistance for Christians and not meant to be taken literally, you'd find it a tad easier to convince people evolution exists. Probably the biggest mistake Christians make is taking the Bible's words as fact instead of as a guide to help you along your journey through life. Now try to run an effective IPM (Insect Pest Management) program without believing in evolution. Chances are your landscape will be overrun by insect pests in a matter of years.

"I'm using smart words believe in Evolution." No. I have logical reasons, you don't.
"I'm using smart words believe in Evolution." No. I have logical reasons, you don't.
So your argument is that he's wrong because he's using the wrong words?
A bit. I mean, I'd probably understand that more if I knew what he was talking about. I haven't even gotten Biology yet.
A bit. I mean, I'd probably understand that more if I knew what he was talking about. I haven't even gotten Biology yet.
Then why are you trying argue about it?
Um I believe in it. It's hard to believe people still don't.
Because Creationism is more logical in my opinion.
Because Creationism is more logical in my opinion.
Yeah, a wizard came from space and summoned everything into existence. That makes so much more sense.
I find it funny how we as a race are severaly altering how evolution takes place. Take pandas, for instance. We chopped down the bamboo and the pandas ate too much, and now without our help they cannot survive. It kinda makes me feel powerful to think that humans can end entire races of creatures simply because intelligence has become the superior evolutionary trait.
It is fascinating, makes you wonder if one day humanity will be able to engineer new forms of life.
Look, lemme draw a picture for you ------------------------|----->Mutated offspring 1---->Dies in it's enviornment due to it's mutation being useless in it's enviornment Original organism-->| ------------------------|----->Mutated offspring 2---->Lives on and continues a new generation of organisms with it's mutation------>So on, etc. So here's how it works in words, a parent organism has multiple children, and some have a mutated trait and some don't, those who have good mutations live on, and others die out. So the ones that live on continue this cycle, this is called Natural Selection And that's how evolution works.
Because Creationism is more logical in my opinion.
yeah i hate how people immediately assume there is no God because he hasn't torn a hole in the sky and poked his head thru just to tell us hellooo, i don't see any dinos running around today, only some old bones and unproven theories. i reckon there is even chance that a universe just started on its own as that God was made and then he made the universe. only i have personal reasons to believe in God, he helped my grandad get thru cancer after i prayed for him, night and day :P
Because Creationism is more logical in my opinion.
How do you know if you don't know anything about biology and can't understand any of the arguments presented to you? Don't you think that's a bit like a blind man disputing the color of the sky?
Well it's fucking blue

How do you measure the effect prayer had on your grandfather, and why has prayer had no effect in organized studies? [editline]05:02AM[/editline]
Well it's fucking blue
My point is how can you say something is wrong if you don't know what it is?

Prayer has had effect in multiple studies. [editline]10:04PM[/editline] btw
You don't 'believe' in facts. :downs:
It's accepted as fact but is technically a theory. Although I find it kind of odd to not believe it. I usually defend religion and what not but I'm not devout nor do I firmly believe in the existence of god at all. But you have to be fair to all sides regardless of your personal beliefs.

I'm assuming this is all confusing for you, as you seem not to be able to differentiate between a Scientific Theory and a Philosophical Theory.
