Stop arguing about God, he probably doesnt exist anyways so you have no worries.
Stop arguing about God, he probably doesnt exist anyways so you have no worries.
Some people would disagree. Hence the argument!
I'm not an atheist. In my opinion, God is in the eye of the perciever. He/she exist only for the people that want him/her to do so. For me, there's no god. But for some people there is.
Sir, that makes no sense.
Head for the hills! hardcore bitching is on the horizon!
Stop arguing about God, he probably doesnt exist anyways so you have no worries.
Probably is the key word. And I'm a Christian and I don't believe in Evolution btw.
Probably is the key word. And I'm a Christian and I don't believe in Evolution btw.
"Probably" is indeed a keyword, but certainly not one for the existence of God. What a shitty argument. By the way, if you don't believe in evolution, why don't you stop using all products of science and go live in the stone age. I mean, if we're going to be morons we might as well be consistent about it.
Gravity is a just a theory :downs:
Eventually this thread will amount to the atheist majority of FP calling the religious minority a bunch of ignorant buffoons or something to that effect. The thing with evolution is that science has still not completely proved evolution, and it hasn't proved religion wrong.

However it does prove the major monotheistic religion wrong.
If god is almighty then he is able to save them, yet he doesn't. That kind of letting them..
Reminds me of Epicurus's poem: Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God. :3:
Isolation of a group of a species.
But still even if they were isolated, what stops them from "evolving like us"?
The thing with evolution is that science has still not completely proved evolution, and it hasn't proved religion wrong.
Science proving religion wrong? Who's Science? Using scientific method, there is no evidence for the existence of God, and therefore there's no reason to assume he does exist. Do you eat shit every weekend because you think it takes you to heaven when you die, or don't you because there's no reason to believe it does? List every single unsupported claim you could possibly think of and assume that it is true. Then you would have a consistent argument (and you would probably die in the process, so good luck). Science doesn't require that you completely prove anything, only that you prove a theory to be much more likely to be true than any other theory or hypothesis, which is true for evolution. If you disagree, make your case, but "your theory isn't infinitely more likely than mine" isn't an argument.
But still even if they were isolated, what stops them from "evolving like us"?
Chance. There are a lot of patterns a species can go down in order to compensate for something.
Chance. There are a lot of patterns a species can go down in order to compensate for something.
Exactly. People seem to have this idea that evolution must come up with the perfect solution for everything. Sometimes it never does come up with one. This also relates to the illusion that every species, humans in particular, are perfect in their role. Humans are shitty at coexisting in large societies when you compare them to ants, for example.
I believe in it.
Probably is the key word. And I'm a Christian and I don't believe in Evolution btw.
Evolution is not a belief, to ignore evolution is to ignore life itself.
So, believe in a God, who doesnt have any thing to believe it exist (And Mary is a whore, she fucked with God when is married with other guy) , and dont believe in evolution, it only has TONS of bones, fossils, etc.? Anyone get my IRONY?
But still even if they were isolated, what stops them from "evolving like us"?
Chance, location, diseases of the time, any natural disasters/occurrences. There are many things that could stop/permit evolution on the scale of apes to humans.
Evolution is happening all the time, we don't notice it because it takes longer than we live to notice a difference.
I believe in evolution. :D
Humans are monkeys, primates, and apes.
So, believe in a God, who doesnt have any thing to believe it exist (And Mary is a whore, she fucked with God when is married with other guy) , and dont believe in evolution, it only has TONS of bones, fossils, etc.? The thing that pisses me off the most is when there's an argument about something like evolution or the big bang is when people say "it's only a theory" to discredit it. A theory is a set of hypotheses that have been continually tested and proven. The planets revolving around the sun is a theory. Gravity is a theory. The list goes on.
Creationism is wrong, but evolution isn't fully right. What we haven't discovered we eventually will, everything we know should be taken as theories rather than facts.
