Think of the Fallout games, after the bombs fell, there was no single government, but in less that 100 years, people had begun to rebuild, established a currency system, a punishment system for criminals (albeit murder), and general laws and rules. In short, anarchy can never exist because humans are extremely social creatures.

So the awesome kids can walk around with those cool little "A"s and listen to My Chemical Romance and Rise Against and be the most rebellious people. Ever. But really, if Anarchy really did take over, those little fucks would be the first to die.

Maybe if we had anarchy for a few weeks people would respect police?

Also all the criminals would be released as well because no one is funding the jails. It just doesn't bode well for anybody.
