put on your MD adapter and set it in front, i've used several Nikon lenses that way with my FD adapter. you'll be able to focus at infinity, you will just need to focus back a bit (will focus past infinity otherwise). biggest problems will be shooting directly into the light (odd flare patterns) or stopped down closeup performance, wide open in most circumstances it should like pretty much the same as any other lens.

just realised i don't know if the manual adaptor works (the om-10 it came with has an absolutely demolished shutter so can't test on that), will try and test this somehow though, but LOOK fine
the om-10 it came from is fine except for the shutter problem so i assume somebody was using it as it was till the shutter gave up
as for the 50s, i have two 1.8s, both pretty much mint condition (one has an overly snappy aperture ring but still works fine); one has a much higher serial number than the other (32xxxxx vs 50xxxxx); one with the higher s/n has slightly different looking coating (dunno if it's better because newer or not)

(*1) The focusing is a bit stiff but otherwise good
(*2) A previous owner removed the aperture coupling prong not a problem for AI cameras
(*3) The built in sunhood has been removed as it has been dented and so it stopped the focusing at a certain point
(*4) Camera is in bad cosmetic shape but is fully working, sometimes the film advance doesn't finish properly but can easily be sorted Pm for explaination
