• So you think Lady Gaga can't sing?

Yeah when you record a song you want it to be the best representation of your art you can make. Because after all, a recording is permanent. Where as if you make a mistake live it may mostly go unnoticed (depending on how bad it is). Being a few cents off pitch won't be noticed by most people except those with a very developed musical ear.
I quite like Lady GaGa, because she's very talented. She's a great musician.
Lost all respect for you bro
Lost all respect for you bro
Cliché metalhead elitism I don't like her music but she IS talented and to deny that is just ignorance.
Cliché metalhead elitism
owait I had none to begin with
It's not as if she really even writes her own songs anymore.
I don't listen to her music, but I respect her for making it (and having some talent behind it)
She has a good voice but her music is horrendous and she isn't talented.
Autotune will not make a bad singer sound good. A bad singer will still sound bad, probably worse, with autotune (because it is more noticeable). I don't see an issue with using autotune when using it as an effect or for slight pitch corrections (that you probably won't notice). I think most people will agree that the songs where it is obvious that autotune was overused for a lack of the singers ability to hit the notes does degrade the vocals and makes it seem synthetic which will make it an unliked song. Most of the songs I've seen people complaining about as far as autotune have more to do with it being used as an effect, although the claim is that they are covering up their bad singing.
She is good, not amazing. No doubt she has talent. But so far i have yet to see her go all the way. Her newest album is above average for me, Good not great. Her first one was kack. She Will be doing some great work once she has matured with what she now is.
I actually respect Lady Gaga as a musician. Plus, she does acoustic versions of her songs, which end up sounding like the music she made before she became famous.
owait I had none to begin with
Now that is superb
Now that is superb
His wit is always this creative.
I hate it when people think that mainstream singers have no talent. Yes, it is possible to make it big being mediocre, but a lot of mainstream singers sing songs that don't really show their voices well. Pixie Lott, for example, has a fucking incredible voice, look up her acoustic songs on youtube.
She may have a good voice, she may have talent - but she's just making crap music. Doesn't matter if you have talent when you're just gonna waste it on music that does not require much talent.
She can sing but her batshit crazyness grates.
She can sing but her batshit crazyness grates.
Maybe you, but I like it.

I respect her talent as a gifted vocalist, I'm just not too crazy about the music she sings.
I always thought they fixed up her voice in the studio. Still, I think that's some shitty-ass pop crap. Fuck that.
I went to see her concert, she can sing better than most, but I think dance is her forte.
Doesn't really matter how a talented singer she is, the music she makes still sucks
I don't mind a few of her songs
I hate her. Because her music annoys me, because everyone loves her and her music is overplayed. [editline]10:15PM[/editline] I never said she couldn't sing, I just straight out Hate Her.
People hate it because its not real talent. They shouldn't be popular if they don't have actual talent.
Having talent isn't the same thing as making good music. Joe Satriani is a brilliant guitarist but his songs are boring and shitty.
The only modern artist that's not hiding behind auto-tune, so yes, she's talented.
The only modern artist that's not hiding behind auto-tune, so yes, she's talented.
Okay, she can sing but still, her music makes me want to blow my fuckin' brains out! :suicide:
Okay, she can sing but still, her music makes me want to blow my fuckin' brains out! :suicide:
Poor you, funnily noone tells you that you have to listen to it You chose to, didnt like it and came to that conclusion
I don't like how she belts a lot of notes. There's better singers out there.

Sorry to double post, but What were your thoughts about her performing on Sean Lennon's piano?
