If things are bound to happen, and they may be bad, work out how to mitigate damage. Your mind has a funny way of doing things. In the end it's helping you, but sometimes it's so hard to distinguish between when it's a problem you need to fix, or just stress for the sake of it.
One of the best methods to fix the problem, is to automatically split the problem into two parts - the problem itself, and the stress associated with it. Depending on your mood, the stress that comes with it and be wholly disproportionate to the actual magnitude of the problem. Thus, if you realize what the problem is about, the stress becomes easier to deal with.
However, don't tell your mind that there's no problem. It hates when you do that, because there MIGHT be a problem. Instead, in most cases, there is a problem, but the stress is unwarranted.
This is very important, but I hope this works for you (I had a similar problem for a number of months, and it was hell. Really).
The best way to alleviate the stress you get from worrying about something is to actually do it. most of the time it's easier than you expected.

wow that was a great breaking down of my problem, and it seems quite usefull so ill try it.
also, sometimes i just think abut stuff, not problems, and find neat responses or ideas to this stuff, which is not a problem to me, but just probably the way something works. but lately, i have less of those and a lot more of the stressing shit.
ill give a try to what you said
lately we are talking about how i shouldnt get started on weed at 16 although everone around me does
But if instead of doing weed you studied hard academically, all the weed-smokers would be working for YOU.
I don't see how that's scary in your mind.
When I'm in such a mood, I draw horrifying disfigured half-human monsters in my school notebooks. Now THAT worries me about myself.
"My mind scares the shit out of me"
What about your face? Cause your face scares the shit out of me.
:effort:
Also the mind can wander into thinking of some weird shit. Just occupy yourself, get a hobby and/or think of something else.
Try and give your day some structure.
So, if you got a job or school, take time off to get everything done you need to do before you relax. Try and keep order where you live, it really helps on stress and worries.
You could also try and either live by the philosophy of doing 1 creative thing every day. This will keep your mind to something fun. If you're not so much for the creative, try and pick up exercising like running. It's something that will give you a moment to plan out the things you need to be doing without putting you in a position where you have the capacity to actually worry about what needs to be done.
Of course, this only works for some, but my personal experience is a boost in confidence and that dampens whatever stress and worries I got. Be glad you actually have the time to sit down on a couch. It means you got a surplus of time and that's incredibly valuable if it's put towards the right things.
Oh, i had this too.
Made psychology my hobby. A hobby I am good at.
Its also a symptom of split personality though, so watch out for that. On a serious case you should make sure that you don't have any memories missing. Headache often?
You really should make sure you don't have that. It might be really dangerous, and its not like it already appears in early years, might as well just get you at your later age.
But psychology is really unpredictable. It might be as well just a simply and lazy answer : stress.
Oh yeah, and i just dealt with it trough thinking and accepting all those things, finding solutions which would be right.
That even made me feel prepared for bad things. Luckily, most of those worries never occurred.

i need the bad reading rating here.
for the rest, its not that i dont know that i need to ocupy myself, its that theres a time of the day (usually comes around 4-6 PM) where absolutly nothing is fun. i sit on my computer, i get bored and the thoughts come, i read a book, bored, TV, bored, walk the dog, dont want to cos ill get bored halfway. guitar? dont want to take it out of the case cos ill get bored while playing and whant to put it back, so i stay doing nothing.
i just wanted to make that clear. with that out of the way, there are A LOT of helpful posts which i will give a try and find a way to make them work for me.
Watch Arnold movies
Just get a hobby, I used to be exactly the same way from panic attacks and anxiety problems. But then i just got into music and watching lots of porn. Now i can barley remember what was fucking with my mind. Also reading books.

Whenever i have scary thoughts i just say in my head "Nothing is gonna hurt me. Today is a good day" And BOOM... Scary thoughts are gone.
