Memrise.com - This site is making me bilingual and expanding my vocabulary god dammit

I've learned about 900 words so far, definitely faster than any other program I've used, although you really need to use something else to get the grammar.
Is there a math, sociology, computer science, or art history equivalent of this?

It gave me an error on the Swedish and Danish, I think it gives an error with all languages but the ones at the front page.
Finally, I can learn Russian the fun way.
I already am Bilingual. Time to be Multilingual.
German is the way to go.
Bumping because this is a cool site and should stay active. I'm using it currently to learn Welsh, then will brush up on my Swedish and French. After these, I'm hoping to learn German and Italian. :)
Now I can finally get back at that douche in my class who keeps cursing in finnish, sapmi and arabic!
I'll get back at him by learning russian first, then I'll see how it goes from there :v:
No norsk :(
Guess is Danish/Swedish for me.
I'd say for Swedish, it's slightly simpler, but Norwegian would be the best actually as Norwegian is far better understood by both danes and swedes and Norwegian is better for understanding swedes and danes. But I'll say that swedish is is the next best thing, danish got a weird number system, while swedes still use a logical system
This is pretty great. I did German for a year in school but it didn't really teach enough vocabulary to understand much beyond a simple conversation.
Why did they remove the union jack from the English language's icon though? It's just an American flag now.
I'm having a bit of confusion as to how effective this is for learning non Roman-lettered languages.
man this shit is interesting!

i love how the progress of the site is based not on how many you get correct, but how well the language will sit in your memory.
schools need to use this shit
Whoa, apparently there's a "created" language on here called Esperanto.

Also Pace I agree with you, it's better for vocabulary in every way possible.
Grammar, however, I'm not too sure about.
wow what the hell they dont have maltese yet they have freaking klingon
If you know Maltese, suggest it and help start to build it. Everything that exists on the website is community-driven.
The only real concern that I have with the website is that it has a lack of grammatical structure. It's SOLELY vocabulary.
Learning german is easy if you master english
Also, my mother language is portuguese, and i also speak spanish and english, does this make me tri-lingual?

English is actually derived from western german. So they're really similar languages.
I'd say it helps, but there's still a lot of things that are really characteristic from the language
