I am serious about getting tested for Aspergers syndrome

The "You are frequently told that what you've said is impolite even though you think it's polite" is all me, although I got a 23.

But no, you don't have Aspergers, you're just anti-social.
Aspergers is similar to ADHD and Tourettes in the sense it just seems to be one of those "new age" diseases claimed for today's youth who lack proper social skills due to their over-reliance on electronic communication.
Nah it's just called anti-social.
Aspergers is made up bullshit in my opinion for most people
I do believe he's not Anti-Social, or a better term for it is "Introverted" In which he likes to be and work by himself in which he can commit himself without the excessive need of others bearing down on him, Alot of people are like this, I'm one of them.
Since I don't understand why do I wish to group with random people (Don't mind working with friends, but I don't ask them) And get dragged down by them, in which I do believe I can do it by myself Easier, even if it's not more proffesional then working in the group.
Agree: 2,4,12: 1 point
Disagree: 14,29,30,38,47,48,49: 1 point
Score: 10
Cool :D
I generally dislike most people and don't want to socialize with them because we have nothing in common.
That's not aspergers. And I highly doubt you have it either.
If you had aspergers, you'd be hard pressed to make a coherent post without someone coaching you through it. Like the majority of aspies on this forum.

I think you are right about this being my problem.
Asperger's is the next ADD/ADHD, I swear to god. Everybody who wants to be diagnosed with it gets diagnosed with it. Considering that my 3 other male cousins on my dad's side have Autism (not high-functioning either), and I got a 32 on that test the OP posted, I could get away with a diagnosis pretty easily, but I won't go get a diagnosis, simply because I don't need a label to make things easier for me.
The same goes for ADD. I am sure as hell I could get diagnosed with that, but what good would it do me? I could whine about it? Extra time on tests? Take drugs that will alter my personality? I'm fine the way I am, and I feel like I'm doing pretty well in my life. I don't need a crutch to tell me who I am.
yeah i'm an anti-social freak too wanna be buddies

You'd get a prescription for things people spend fuck tons of money to buy on the street.
Your loss.

If I have any kind of disorder I would like to know about it out of pure interest no matter how insignificant it may be. I do what I want and it's done me well so far, I don't have anything to prove to anyone, it sounds like you do.
Good luck with that.
Oh and there are no meds for aspergers, not that I'd take them if there were.
My score was 18.
I got a 28. :P I'm the same way though. I rarely care about other people, and I enjoy my alone time. :)
I enjoy my alone time. :)
:smug:
oh shit, i never expected me to get such a result.
The authors cited a score of 32 or more as indicating "clinically significant levels of autistic traits"
and I got exactly 32...

We can build molecular structures out of mechano together.
Or rather, not together...
I got 19. I still like my alone time and doing things by myself, just because I have a vision of how everything in a project or something is going to look like and have everything planned out in my head.

knex is way better than mechano
You're most likely over reacting. I let my imagination run off with me and it can get me really worked up and worried about ridiculous things.
I used to think that I might be slightly autistic, but I just made an effort to start socializing more and just being a more out-going person. I don't have a ton of friends, but most people only have a few core friends anyways, and a ton of people they call "friend" but don't hang out with, so who cares if I cut out the bull shit?
If I strike up a conversation with somebody, I can usually carry it. Just think of what you know about the person and ask questions from there, if you know about a persons hobbies, you can get people talking for a long time about them.
I suggest you just start being more social, I doubt you have any issues. As for the whole "hate making my own food/washing my own clothes" deal,
big effing surprise, you are a college student, I don't know anybody who doesn't hate doing their own chores. You seem like you are seeing symptoms because you think there IS something wrong with you, just like a paranoid person starts seeing dangers where they aren't.
Welcome to the club
P.S You don't want to know my story, you'll start having nightmares
theres several guys in my college which have asperges and you can tell they really do.
they often blurt inappropriate things out, they have personal learning support too, to stop them if they get too carried away.
Sorry to hear that you might be retarded bro, you should probably see a professional.
My grandfather was a legal genius and a brilliant man. He wasn't all that open with people but not unsocial. I don't know if I'm a genius by technical definition or not, but I'm the same way. I'm quite a bit cynical and shy. I do occasionally find it hard to adapt to new social settings and spend the majority of my time alone. I can function well around friends and even strangers though. You seem to be similar. You sound like a very bright fellow with much to say but not the words. Welcome to my world, my communication habits and patterns are somewhat odd and when I say something that makes perfect sense when composing it, I realize how oddly worded it is. I'm not medical specialist, but you don't sound too different. It may just be some kind of social anxiety or a mild disorder, nothing you can't overcome or deal with though.
Sorry to hear that you might be retarded bro, you should probably see a professional.
He never said he's worried about retardation. Mental retardation is different from social/behavioral disorders.
Sorry to hear that you might be retarded bro, you should probably see a professional.
I lol'd.
I reckon I'm just intraverted but I'm probably going to see if I can ask some psych dept. guy at my Uni about it and see what he thinks, suggestion courtesy of ijyt.
Thanks Teal Moose, I think you're right, I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm just intraverted and despite having symptoms of aspergers, the chances are I don't have it because as far as I know, I can understand what's going on in people's heads fairly well and I don't go on about some random subject without allowing input.
Everybody's different some people say.
Asperger's is a "get out of jail free" syndrome, like ADHD. It is just an excuse for weird antisocial kids, claiming they have asperger's so they don't have to be responsible for why they're afraid to talk to girls. Since Asperger's is treated symptomatically, it is almost impossible to tell whether you do have the syndrome or not. People like Ulillillia (google him) have Asperger's, not you.
Actually Ulillillia doesn't have Ass Burgers. He said he got tested, but he does have extreme OCD which explains the weirdness.
By the way I got an 18 on the thing.

thats what i think about ADHD kids. maybe they just are really geniuses who learned if they act like that they will get attention.
actually not geniuses, attention whore

coming from the guy with 11k + posts as an 08er
:downs:
i made a 6
what does this mean
I scored a 10 but that test really doesnt feel accurate. if you had this then any test you would have taken ie PSAT and SAT probably would of had a teacher or counselor talk to you. since the questions vary from many different subjects and some personal.
Ass Burgers... Saying it like that it sounds like slang for some new STD... :v:
But on topic, you *probably don't have Asperger's. *You're probably just antisocial.
