There's 25 unique heroes and they each have 4 variants, totalling to a pretty hefty 100 different heroes you can choose from.
You can change a lot about the heroes but you're stuck with the base hero and their abilities.

I'm not at all pissed, infact I don't particually care - but something tells me that if someone gave you that game you would play it for like a couple of hours then never look at it again.
And seeing how it's relatively expensive to buy it, that's even more reason not to give it to some random guy.
