I suggest you get into lucid dreaming. Once you're successful at lucid dreaming you'll enjoy sleep more, and you may be able to summon this person who's shooting you and shoot them.. and while that seems silly it may actually work. Lucid dreaming is a pretty crazy subject.
That part about hearing small sounds is EXACTLY what happens to me. Sometimes when I'm tired, I'll hear a sudden BANG. It will be really loud, right in my ears, but at the same time, completely silent. It's like an imagined sound, but someone else imagined it for me. It doesn't make me jump, but it really concerns me at the time. Makes me feel a bit weird thinking about it. Brr.
As said above me it's the exploding head syndrom, I does it to me too, but I also see light flashes with the boom
A black balaclava? Opposed to what, a fluorescent pink one?
OP do you have any anxieties or still get stress from your pain or depression? I found anxiety and stress were what caused mine. My mind would race but my body would fall numb and I'd get stuck in that tiny window between full consciousness and REM sleep, which is when these occur if I recall.

Sleep Paralysis is just that, you're paralyzed, except it happens when you're not asleep. It's called REM Atonia when you are asleep and paralyzed, but you're asleep so it doesn't really matter. It just helps you from flailing around in your sleep when dreaming, like when a dog starts "running" when they're dreaming. While most people do put SP and HH together, it's wrong, because you can have HH without having SP, and vice versa.
sometimes when i'm about to fall asleep i hear a very realistic blowing/exhaling sound in front of my face and it freaks me the fuck out
Oh god where's that creepy image of the guy standing over you with those dark black eyes when you need it?
OP has PTSD, perhaps he's having 'Nam flashbacks.
flashsides, having other people's flashbacks
Enjoy! :) Nothing wrong with a few insane experinces in this boring sane reality in which we are stuck in.
Benanis Ginsitus, a common ingredient found in the muscle relaxant, 'Bengay' can be used to ease the hallucinations vividity, apply some to all major glands, e.g.; Under arms, inside of leg near genitals, and on your neck, it should help.
I hate it when your falling asleep and you start subconsciously thinking random thoughts, then suddenly for no reason whatsoever you just flinch or spasm like you got a shock. I am sure theres a medical term for it. Edit: Myoclonic jerks. Thats what they are called.
Yes, actually it's when your going into sleep and then you wake up fastly.
Yes, actually it's when your going into sleep and then you wake up fastly.
Not really. A myoclonic jerk is just a muscle spasm and doesn't necessarily have to do with sleep. You're probably thinking of waking up from falling in a dream, but even then that isn't necessarily caused by waking up quickly.
I usually get the same reoccurring dream every time I'm sick.
I remember I fell asleep, kinda, halfasleep, it felt like someone tried to choke me, so I got panic and woke up. Then I fell asleep and experienced the same thing, when I woke up I realised what was happening, so I kept falling asleep and waking up a few times to experience it more untill I finally couldn't wake up. Not that I died, just that I actually fell completely alseep!
Lennie, I told you not to turn around!
Try and take the gun. Then if you actually do take it, pop a cap in his ass.

Stop playing Heavy Rain. D:
Take a shitload of Tylenol PM. Then you'll have awesome hallucinations :smug:
You will also die, as a side effect.
You will also die, as a side effect.
since when opiates cause hallucinations
A black balaclava? Opposed to what, a fluorescent pink one?
You know, the classic robber look.
