Christian Bale Loses a Shit Ton of Weight Again for a Movie

I could barely tell it was him in that second picture!
Also, doesn't he hold a record for the weight loss for The Machinist (which was fucking awesome, if I may say so)?
To be honest, many other actors do this too. It's not like he's doing something unique compared to other actors. Besides, the guy sucks, he's too big headed and thinks his sh*t smells better than most.
because he is better than everyone else he is CHRISTIAN BALE, that rant he did only made me like him more
and yet he's still bigger than 50% of you on this forum...

not nice.
Having Bale and Wahlberg switch roles would be a mistake. The coach character looks like a far more demanding role and Bale is perfect for it.
Not to say that Bale couldn't do the fighter character just as well as Wahlberg but it would be a waste of talent when a role like the coach is right there.
He just stopped taking his steroids.
it's ridiculous how much better at acting christian bale is than mark wahlberg
Fucking this.

He looks like an ugly fucker now. Like me.
If I build up, surely I'll be handsome like him.

A) there are a lot of method actors, yes, but so few are willing to go as far as Christian Bale as to lose this much weight, the only other two i can think of are Robert De Nero and Gary Oldman. a handful of method actors will gain or lose weight sure but not that much.
B) he actually is a great actor and yes he is "big headed" but that comes with being a method actor, every method actor in the history of method actors is cocky, Edward Norton being notorious for his arrogance for example.
C) the expression is "thinks his shit don't stink"
D) there's no need to fucking censor your shit

not sure he holds the record but he was actually urged to stop losing weight by the director and his physician

He's an awesome actor, who cares if he's a cunt off set?
He's awesome on film.
I want to know how Hollywood bulks up or slims down actors in just months. It's fucking amazing (and probably unhealthy)
Anyone could do it if they had millions of dollars to spend on personal trainers and chefs.

No, this is a ridiculous and shallow misconception.
Believe it or not, not all celebrities roll around with an entourage of people cleaning up behind them and get the maid to give them a slobbery blowjob followed by a 4 course meal while hector mows their lawn. You'd be surprised how many don't have stuff like personal trainers or even cooks.
No, not anyone could do it. Even if someone did have personal trainers and chefs, that's a fuckload of dedication and mental turmoil to drop that much weight in a very short frame of time. And as for bulking back up to put on muscle for batman, well most of it was probably muscle memory, but it still doesn't take away the fact that hard work and hard eating would've gone into it.
BTW Personal trainers aren't wizards, you still have to put the work in.

Sometimes that's not the case; You might want to read this
ugh god damnit what is he doing in this shitty clichéd movie?

I seriously doubt AAS useage is the case with Bale. Bale was already anywhere between 200-205lbs lean before he dropped all that weight in a very short time frame for The Machinist. Regaining that muscle in the space of 6 months would've been mostly muscle memory. Google the "Colorado experiment".
now why couldn't he have been this dedicated for Terminator Salvation?
It's not really that amazing... especially if you spend fuckton of dollars on it and have personal trainers.
The only amazing thing is that he wants to do it.
Machinist was phenomenal.
