As FP's resident Karl Pilkington enthusiast I am inclined to inform everybody about the new Sky 1 Series starting tomorrow at 9PM (Friday 30th November) in the UK.
An Idiot Abroad is a travel documentary television series broadcast on Sky1, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant and starring Karl Pilkington. The ongoing theme of both the television series and the books is that Pilkington has no interest in global travel, so Merchant and Gervais make him travel while they themselves stay in London and monitor his progress.
Who's excited? Yes Karl Pilkington <3
I can't believe he did another one. He said last time he definitely wouldn't do another one, but then they got him to do another one. This is great.
This is going to be brilliant with Warrick too
No Steve?
any word on this coming to BBC america?
Head like a fucking Orange. Never had a kite, Jesus i laughed.
Man, that was a brilliant episode.
any word on this coming to BBC america?
Science channel had the first 2 seasons
Steve? Steve? :(
The music for this show is amazing. Also I love Warwick in this, The dress up party was brilliant
Steve? Steve? :(
According to wikipedia he's still credited as playing 'himself'. He might show up in part two or three.
I can't believe he did another one. He said last time he definitely wouldn't do another one, but then they got him to do another one. This is great.
They're probably paying him a shitload to do it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chingari_(2012_film) My lord, it's real [editline]11th December 2012[/editline] Wait, what? Where's Karl?
I almost died when Karl said "Scotland Yard??" in the Bollywood trailer

Fuck I don't have Sky and have to wait for the Blu Ray [editline]13th December 2012[/editline] Here's an email Karl sent Ricky about a review he saw in the paper. Steve? :(
He's been busy with his stand up and writing his new show which I think starts filming soon (or already has). Also collecting all his awards for Portal 2 probably took ages.
Oh fuck me I didn't know they were doing this. Guess I am just going to wait for the American DVD release or something.
why the fuck can't I find episode 3 anywhere, I know its been on. very strange
Disappointed that this series is only 3 episodes long.
Disappointed that this series is only 3 episodes long.
Ah, shit, I did not realize that was the end already. Why so brief? Now I get why they had the lengthy recap at the end of the most recent one though.
Ah, shit, I did not realize that was the end already. Why so brief? [editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
why the fuck can't I find episode 3 anywhere, I know its been on. very strange
I'm sure you could watch it somewhere if it doesn't air in your country.
This series has some really fucking great moments. The pleasure machine. Love how Karl was insisting they do as he thought Warwick would hate it and they both hated it. Karl trying to get out of the water after the jet pack and getting more annoyed. Putting Warwick on balloons. Dunno why Ricky got so upset about it when he dressed Warwick up as a frog and made him jump around for his amusement. The gypsies rubbing his head and Karl being oblivious was gold. The weird religious people who stated stabbing themselves. The entire spider-sister sequence. Specially when Karl went up and couldn't understand why people wouldn't want to see him. But any moment where Karl laughed or looked genuinely happy was gold.
I just loved how Karl was more open to having wierd food, and Warwick was the fish out of water this time around.
I can't believe he did another one. He said last time he definitely wouldn't do another one, but then they got him to do another one. This is great.
Why wouldn't he do it? He's an actor, that's his job.
Why wouldn't he do it? He's an actor, that's his job.
Bull. Don't be a tit. He said he only did it for the money. You can't script half the stuff Karl says and if you could you wouldn't waste it on a travel documentary or a podcast. Plus Ricky nicks his jokes all the time for his own standup and tv shows. If Ricky was writing it he wouldn't use it twice.

Might as well leave it there.
