After that bloody conflict all those years ago, both of the races withdrew from that sector of space, and have not come within range of eachother since. Cartesian ships are marked in the Arcturian ship database under categories 'destroy' and 'avoid at all cost'. Seeing this as the perfect moment, the Relay fleet attacked.

The TNSC fleet comes back from repairs. The entirety of the western continent has been reduced to dirt and glass, terraformation efforts begin. A project is revealed. Omega Siardon is selected to become a military planet, therefore it is of utmost importance to protect the planet. Orbital MAC Cannons are being built to defend the planet.

The Large Class ship fires on the superweapon with its disruption cannon, and takes out all of its systems, rendering it immobile and useless for the moment. The assault ships, being small and agile, attack using railguns and try to avoid gunfire. One of them fires on what appears to be the bridge. The fleet fires up its anti-matter turrets, and retaliates with much greater force, relentless barraging the enemy hull with high velocity missiles and then drilling completely through the ships with anti-matter beams. The smaller ships barrage the medium ship with nuclear missiles, straight at the engines, disabling the ship. Further damages are unknown. The large ship's precision Anti-matter turret laying on top begins precisely picking off missiles. The Large Class ship turns on reinforcement systems at the bridge. They hail the attacking fleet. Your ships weren't even on the map when I attacked. [img]http://filesmelt.com/dl/retaliate.png[/img] One of the assault ships takes very extensive damage and the pilot decides to ram it into one of the enemy ships, doing massive damage. Some of the missiles make it through. The engines on the Daedalus class vessel are completely destroyed and it is drifting towards the large ship at very high speeds. The other Daedalus class ship takes minor damage and then attacks with full force, doing quite a bit of damage to one of the ships and also barraging it with missiles.

One of the medium ships' front ends blows up, killing everybody in the bridge.
