Well in that case I'm declaring. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] At long last the SuperCarrier is created. It is named the TNS Grand Trantimirian. The fleet splits after a new planet is discovered. The SuperCarrier is transporting a group of scientists to determine if the planet is habitable.
Oh, and by the way; When I say the (Western) Empire resembles Rome, I say that GENEROUSLY. (Infantry unit) In fact, the whole of Terra Magna is a mock-up alternate recreation of history.
Hey man, we're not using that system anymore. We use the common sense rule now, see OP for rules.
Ah, yes, thanks. [Turn 4] Pictureless declare: Many hidden turrets locked their sights on the AGU's shuttle as It slowly landed on the barren wastes of Aerthia... Highly experienced men marchs towards It and salvage everything, including the message and the schematics. The schematics did some aid In the researches and not too late, life-supported combat space crafts enters construction stage... As for the message... Some where ecstatic... Some where struck by fear and hunger for conquer...
If I make a planet with the intention of being helpless yet useful for others, can I still post it?
If I make a planet with the intention of being helpless yet useful for others, can I still post it?
What do you think I've been doing for the last 200 posts? :tinfoil:
The radars are detecting a new planet! A short way from Trantimir lies the desert lands of DE-598B. The planets surface might give off a sense of uselessness, but below the crust lies a goldmine of oil and metals. The planets surface temperature borders 60°C, and the atmosphere is highly toxic - filled with a combination of hydrogen and oxygen. Around the planet circles a gas-cloud filled with various radioactive debris. Orbiting the planet is a five-man spaceship. Their radio frequency is 945,19, and they are broadcasting a message to the surrounding planets and ships around: "Handle DE-598B with care! This planet is extremely dangerous! Feel free to feast on the resources! Mind your exhaust-flames!"
More Ostrigian barbarians settle on the cold northern fringes of the mainland... The Fortigoths close in on the Capital of the once-vast Empire -- Arregio.. The inevitable is about to happen. Current established factions on Terra Magna: Ostrigian Tribes Western Arregythian Empire The Fortigoths The Julippian Tyranny Eastern Arregythian Empire Lyussia Ostrigio-Arregyth Current top faction: Eastern Arregythian Empire
HEY! Who said my planet was there to implement? Just because I based it on your planet doesn't mean you can just fucking put it right next to you. /rage Declare. I'm removing it, I had plans for that planet. [editline]4th May 2012[/editline] There. By the way, this does NOT count as a declare.
Pictureless Declare : T18, The AGU HQ Continues sending small shipments of schematics and peace messages to the surface of Aerthia. Eventually they send an ambassador to request that they trade knowledge between each other via a trade route.
Holy shit since when was my planet being threatened by huge ships. Declare. I'm guessing we're just going by common sense now. The Taendra scientists finish two small spaceships with forcefields(just for show) to colonize the moon Ios, but as they enter orbit they see a huge fleet facing their planet. Using their rough knowledge of radio technology they send a message to the fleet. This is Taendra spacecruisers B-10T and B-11T, could the owner of the large fleet facing our planet please tell us what their objective is?
[Turn 5] Declare. With the help of the schematics and with a haste for far universe exploration, along with the Interplanetary Radio technology, a Tick Class ship Is launched out of Aerthia's atmosphere. A frontal single cannon compose the small frigate's "weapon" and It's true purpose Is to clear way through small and medium asteroid belts. Judging by It's design, It could be said that the Tick Class are a carrier-only purpose ship... Suddenly, a message Is sent to AGU's ambassador:
This Is Captain Matthew from PMA's 1st Tick Class Frigate, we greet you, AGU's Ambassador. But we have to reserve formalities for better times. As you can see, our dear planet, Aerthia, Is EXTREMELY wasted and washed away from many life-supportive resources. Any spare rations, water and healthcare equipment you could provide would be of great help to us. Thank you for the schematics, In other way. If It weren't by them, we've been still locked up on our hostile home.
A larger space station is approaching DE-598B and the orbiting ship. Their frequency is 945,23, and they're broadcasting encrypted messages to the smaller ship. The message is written in the Standard Galactic Alphabet. The ship looks armored, but there is no visible weaponry.
Wow, I just deciphered it. It really makes no sense. Want me to post the translation? [editline]4th May 2012[/editline] OHOHOHO YOU SNEAKY BASTARD
Declare. Turn 82 A strange energy overtakes the pyramid on the Tombship. A focus crystal hovers above the pyramid, signifying the completion of the Necron Super-Weapon. Super-Weapon: Necron Mass Particle Whip The Cairn Class Tombship is now equipped with the Mass Particle Whip, a variant of the regular particle whip but in a much larger scale. The focus crystal draws in energy to supercharge particles in the surrounding area and releases them to overwhelm the molecular makeup of it's target until the energy build-up causes a massive chain reaction that results in the disintegration of the target.
EXTRA INFORMATION REGARDING THE GCS-CRUSADER INCOMING. _____________________________________________________________________ The GCS-CRUSADER works by applying localized gravity to an object (Which takes an enormous amount of energy), thus allowing it to "force" it into any direction. This can often have devastating results. The GCS-CRUSADER also appears to have a passive ability. This ability allows the station to protect any one target at a time from incoming projectiles and beam weapons. It works by using localized gravity to "force" all incoming weapons fire into a rift (Specifically, frequency WF-7█████), thus allowing it to take no damage. Although this is very powerful, the weapon is not able to use it's primary attack anywhere when activated, and is not as well shielded. _____________________________________________________________________ The TPN sends a message to their allies, the Gito's:
Cartesia com central, come in. We have noticed increased Necron activity near your sector, and we would like to offer the use of our LGR-Shield. Just give us a target, and we'll protect it. What else... The largely metallic planet seems like it would greatly benefit you, we recommend you colonize it. ...We also would like remind you that our ships are there to offer assistance when needed. Omni com central out.
They also contact Taendra.
Greetings. We apologize for the inconvenience. Our scanners did not pick up any sentient lifesigns, must be the cold. Our secondary purpose was to colonize and terraform this planet, as for our primary purpose here... It's classified. We can offer you large sums of credits and raw materials, in exchange for a mining facility somewhere near sector HNR-18████.
Meanwhile, the planetary defense stations are mostly completed, just missing one crucial component, which will be vital in the new weapon technology being implemented in it. [editline]4th May 2012[/editline] Quick declare. [editline]4th May 2012[/editline] The TPN deploy some orbital FGI (Focused gravitational implosion) Cannons. GCS-Crusader has two modified versions, offering more firepower than the standard ones, since they can be maneuvered around by the station itself. They are nicknamed "SWORD Cannons". The FGI Cannons are NOT planetary defense platforms, instead, they are comparable to the TNS' orbital MAC cannons. They are also not powered yet, as they still need dark energy crystals to power them. This is because localized gravitational fields are very costly in terms of energy.
HEY! Who said my planet was there to implement? Just because I based it on your planet doesn't mean you can just fucking put it right next to you. /rage Declare. I'm removing it, I had plans for that planet. [editline]4th May 2012[/editline] There. By the way, this does NOT count as a declare.
You could have fucking put my ships back too. And I'm pretty sure it said that we could use it but whatever. If you had plans for it WHEN YOU ORIGINALLY POSTED THE DAMN PLANET SEPARATELY why didn't you put it in the goddamn system? Fuck. [editline]4th May 2012[/editline] This game takes more effort than it's worth, I'm removing my planet and ships. [editline]4th May 2012[/editline]
I didn't say that it was there to use, neither did I say that those plans were for now. It's either going to be in the next thread, or when I've finished my new spritesheet. Now half of it is already spoiled, great. Also, just in case you think I just half-assed it and copied your planet with a few tweaks, I didn't. I spent like 2 fucking hours making it, that's why I wasn't very happy with it suddenly being implemented. I'm off once again.
Now, wait a sec, everything's going to hell just because someone had "Plans" on a forum game with a random nature? Say what, I've wasted my fucking time spriting my ships and that goddamn 1 hour long planet for a thread that Is going through the drain???
Now, wait a sec, everything's going to hell just because someone had "Plans" on a forum game with a random nature? Say what, I've wasted my fucking time spriting my ships and that goddamn 1 hour long planet for a thread that Is going through the drain???
There are multiple variations of this thread, worst case scenario- if this thread goes under a new one will be started. If you have been smart and making a sprite sheet with your ships and planets on it, you can re-use it in the next game. But hey, everything's fine, one person left and he had his reasons. So let's just continue.
Can I just make a random planet with no people on just a description and resources available it since I wont be playing just watching?
Can I just make a random planet with no people on just a description and resources available it since I wont be playing just watching?
That's what I said, but now I have a slightly bigger plan cooked up :v:
That's what I said, but now I have a slightly bigger plan cooked up :v:
id be joining so late in game that I would not even have a chance and I wouldn't be able to respond every time its my turn or however it works to upgrade my research lol. If I was to play right now in the game all i would want is so big ass planet to protect me while i just do non stop research and they influence me (id be a pretty kick ass planet then) Or i do my original idea and just have one realllllly hazardous planet that could explode at any moment but has rare resources.
Or i do my original idea and just have one realllllly hazardous planet that could explode at any moment but has rare resources.
My planet is a gigantic oil-deposit with a hydrogen-oxygen atmosphere. Essentially I already used your idea. :v:

You can build a planet, wait a few turns and build small ships. Unless you provoke a force, I'm relatively sure others won't attack you until you are established. Once you have some small ships, you can build a medium ship in more turns, then a large ship and so on.
Pictureless Declare : T19, The AGU HQ's systems are almost fully charged once again, they prepare another shuttle, this time loading it with exotic foods, drinks and advanced medical supplies. The shuttle is sent once again to Aerthia. [RADIO] We're glad to see you have advanced. Seeing any planet in such a state is sad, we wish to assist you in Terra-forming it once we finish developing the technology, do you accept this offer? [RADIO END]

How do you know when its your turn lol? And would I have to post everytime its my turn or would I be able to say planet x is researching on this then this then this and research will be done in x rounds.
Sure, thats how I usually do it. And usually a turn is when you Declare, eg, Declare - Turn X PICTURE : DESCRIPTION :
but if i research is it one of my turns or is it one turn in general so if 5 people go thats 5 turns so 5 turns of research or wtv would be done. But how do you know when its your turn to play?
Well I typically count turns by the times I post, right now I'm at Turn 19 Because thats how much I have posted. And you can Declare any time you want just as long as someone has posted after your previous one.
[Turn 6] Declare As the 1st Class Tick Frigate lands on Aerthia hauling the fresh supplies, a message answers the one from AGU's offer In the terraforming technology:
We will be more than grateful to restore our planet to the beauty that It once used to be, we'll... [BZZT!]
... The Ambassador's frequency were abruptly lost... Or jammed.
