Is it ironic that the Swine Flu vaccination gives you flu like systems? I always crack up at the pharmaceutical ads. "Blood clot and stroke, and serious bleeding may occur". Shit, I rather suffer through the illness I had, rather than possibly die from a drug that is supposed to CURE YOU.
I saw this ad for a pill to help high blood pressure or something, and at the end it listed the side effects: diahhrea, vomiting, hallucinations, minor kidney failure, bleeding, dizziness, asthma, cell destruction, etc. :v:
Yeah! I'm feeling pretty crappy right now, too. But, hey, it means we'll be immune to swine flu. Isn't it worth it? :v:
Of course it is since apparently swine flu has a 100% mortality rate according to the media
Yeah! I'm feeling pretty crappy right now, too. But, hey, it means we'll be immune to swine flu. Isn't it worth it? :v:
Not really. I've had the flu once in my entire life, and not because of a vaccine. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against vaccines or modern medicine, I just think a better way of combating a virus would be to naturally fight it off instead of having a synthesized antibody do it for you.
Of course it is since apparently swine flu has a 100% mortality rate according to the media

Rating yourself agree doesn't make you right. They do this so that you can build up an immunity of the virus.
Does it ever occur to you that someone may actually agree with me? Agreeing to my own post is stupid and redundant. I've made my point already, why try to back it up with an icon? Go ahead, rate me dumb. It doesn't hurt my opinion at all.
I like how the cripples edited i=out the "n't" in "Shouldn't discourage" they hate medicine
Of course it is since apparently swine flu has a 100% mortality rate according to the media
Another reason why I wouldn't get it. This whole "Mass hysteria over H1N1" is bull. I don't believe in the hype of a killer virus. Yeah, it's killed over a 1,000 people. But does that mean I should start fortifying my home in preparation of a global panic? Of course not. It's the same thing. Bird flu, everyone was shitting themselves, swine flu comes along and the same thing happens. Its a story that can be sold by the media.
A U.S. based pharmaceutical company that just weeks ago was involved in a scandal involving vaccines tainted with deadly avian flu virus has been chosen to head up efforts to produce a vaccine for the Mexican swine flu that has seemingly migrated into the U.S. and Europe.
THE SHIT IS UNCANNY
The common cold kills over 35 thousand people every year in the USA alone, not including the rest of the world. Worrying about the swine flu is like worrying about getting bitten by a snake in the arctic.
Exactly. How many news reports have you seen about the common cold? None. It's becoming so common, that it's boring. When you get the cold you don't think "Hey I could die from this", you go out by some NyQuil and drift to sleep. Problem is people are starting to think that if they do get the swine flu, that they will have no chance of living through it. Well a majority of the people at least.
It is if you have a weak immune system, or if you don't take of yourself properly.
So is a regular flue too.
So my mom just called me and told me that last night she had a dream that I called her and said, "Hi mom, I committed suicide." I wish I were kidding.
So my mom just called me and told me that last night she had a dream that I called her and said, "Hi mom, I committed suicide." I wish I were kidding.
:suicide: hurr hurr
So my mom just called me and told me that last night she had a dream that I called her and said, "Hi mom, I committed suicide." I wish I were kidding.
Why would she tell you about such a dream? I'd freak out if my mum called me and told me that :S
I don't know, but if you never hear from me again, know that it was the swine flu vaccine that killed me.
Oh god that's funny, she sounds like ms Piggy when she talks.
Also got a vaccination today. P. easy.
Oh god that's funny, she sounds like ms Piggy when she talks.
You're an asshole.
Aside from that blah blah, if you get it you can either get a killed version of the swine flu inserted into your arm via needle, or a "live" intranasal spray. I'm not entirely sure what that implies, but I'll leave that up to your imagination. Anyone else have any experiences with the swine flu/vaccination?
Those symptoms will appear if you have the nasal spray. The term "live" means that there are live H1N1 cells in the vaccine, and sometimes you will feel some of the symptoms of the full blown swine flu. The shot has no actual living cells, and is perfectly safe.
Lucky, i think i had swine flu recently. Got a real bad sore throat plenty of snot and a headache. Maybe it's just a bad cold though.
Why get a vaccination for something that is less threatening then the common flu?
Where'd you get the idea it's less deadly than normal flu? [editline]12:41AM[/editline]
The common cold kills over 35 thousand people every year in the USA alone, not including the rest of the world. Worrying about the swine flu is like worrying about getting bitten by a snake in the arctic.
No, it's like worrying about an extra 35 thousand people dieing. :downs: News flash, 35 THOUSAND IS A BIG NUMBER. [editline]12:42AM[/editline]
Exactly. How many news reports have you seen about the common cold? None. It's becoming so common, that it's boring. anybody else afraid of swine here?
anybody else afraid of swine here?
Nah.. it's just the media hype that is scaring everyone...
Is it ironic that the Swine Flu vaccination gives you flu like systems? I always crack up at the pharmaceutical ads. "Blood clot and stroke, and serious bleeding may occur". Shit, I rather suffer through the illness I had, rather than possibly die from a drug that is supposed to CURE YOU.
good job you don't know what a vaccination is
A vaccine is a biological preparation that improves immunity to a particular disease. A vaccine typically contains a small amount of an agent that resembles a microorganism. The agent stimulates the body's immune system to recognize the agent as foreign, destroy it, and "remember" it, so that the immune system can more easily recognize and destroy any of these microorganisms that it later encounters.
vaccines give you symptoms of the infections they're vaccinating against because they are weak versions of the actual disease
Enjoy your immune system being fucked up in 20 years.
So, get vaccinated against a potentially deadly disease is going to be bad for you in the long run?
So, get vaccinated against a potentially deadly disease is going to be bad for you in the long run?
ohh no POTENTIALLY deadly!!
good job you don't know what a vaccination is vaccines give you symptoms of the infections they're vaccinating against because they are weak versions of the actual disease
This. When I got a vaccine, they called it a "dead" virus. But viruses can't be dead since they're never alive. :raise:
Nah.. it's just the media hype that is scaring everyone...
Ever since the Swine Flu epidemic started, there are no more pigs at the petting zoo :saddowns:
I don't care what disorder that chick in the video has, I'd tap dat
I don't care what disorder that chick in the video has, I'd tap dat
:frogdowns:
So, get vaccinated against a potentially deadly disease is going to be bad for you in the long run?
If you get vaccinated several times, your body begins to say "Hell, why even work for it really when I just get told when to beef up my immunity? I'm not even gonna bother keeping my defenses up all the time if all I'm getting hit with are these dead/barely living viruses." This would be fine as long as you continue getting vaccinated for, like, everything for as long as you live, but before long the real thing is going to come around, full blown and tough, and your immune system will be like "Shit I wasn't prepared for this! I'm too weak to fight it now!" Whaa whaa whaaa.
