The chances of the virus killing you is more than you getting dystonia.
And it was the fucking seasonal flu shot anyway.

Well seeing as how it's an infectious disease that nearly no one has any immunity to and seeing as how it has the chance to kill more than ten world trade center's worth of people I'd say it is a pretty big fucking deal.
Just get the vaccination and be done with it.

Well it makes sense considering a Vaccine is exactly the same thing as the virus/disease it tries to cure... except the only difference in a vaccine the virus are supposed to be "dead" and in very low amounts so it doesn't actually do anything. Meanwhile, your body responds to the new "invaders" by creating an immunity for it.
There's always a possbility that the vaccine has a very small sample of "alive" virus, or (more likely) the needle/yourself used wasn't 100% sanitary so another different small infection was indirectly put into you.
good job you don't know what a vaccination is
vaccines give you symptoms of the infections they're vaccinating against because they are weak versions of the actual disease
Like when nurses thought that sticking used needles into a warm pot of water made them sanitary? That's one of the ways Ebola was spread, but that also created barrier nursing. My whole problem with vaccinations is that they do more harm then good. People who get flu shots every year put themselves at risk, and they don't know it. They become dependent on the vaccination itself. If there's a outbreak of flu killing millions of people and there's a shortage of the meds, then those people are screwed.

Wow. This makes me laugh. People can develop natural immunities themselves and not even know it. I volunteer in the ER at the hospital registering patients. I am in direct contact with them, handling the same items they are. I'm either exposed to it through an airborne source or through direct contact with a contaminated object they handled. Have I gotten it? Nope. I've been in direct contact with H1N1 at least 50 times, once with a strain that killed a local man. Have I infected anyone else? Nope. You're not thinking of the full capabilities of the human body and it's own defenses. With you it's the easy way out: through a vaccination.
I'm getting my shot next week.
I get mine early because I have chronic asthma.
Got the shot, felt like shit that whole day. Waste of time and now I am behind in my nitro car in engineering because of that shot. Waste of a hour (standing in line at school, than waiting for the shot, getting it, paperwork)

I can tell you read the whole post. Oh and thank you for trying to take my words out of context. Nice attempt at it, but it didn't work. No where did I say medical aid was for pussies, I said it's the easy way out, rather than let your body fight it off and create it's own defense against the virus.

But that's fucking stupid.
First off, you made the claim that you didn't spread the flu to anyone. Okay, so fucking what? Are you trying to imply that the flu isn't contagious?
If you are, you're an idiot, if you aren't surely you see the necessity of limiting the amount of possible carriers of the flu in order to reduce fatalities?
Using stupid tough guy phrases like "X is just the easy way out" makes you look like a fucking moron, and for good reason.
[editline]05:00AM[/editline]
And you haven't actually defined what the difference is between learning how to fight the flu by getting it and learning how to fight the flu via vaccine is. You just said that was so and went on with the usual "vaccine dependency" nonsense.

Holy fuck that SUCKS! She looks like she is going in to a fucking seizure! Normally it would be funny, but when I experienced seeing a person having a seizure in real life, it changed me.
Now, why/how the fuck does a flu shot (or possibly any shot?) trigger this kind of disorder?

Oh look at the hypocrite! Keep making an ass out of yourself. It's really amusing. By the way, thinking that "X is the easy way out" isn't a tough guy phrase. I've had vaccinations myself (Department of Education requirement), but not one for the flu. I chose not to get it, and not because I was trying to act tough. Natural immunity to a virus is better than a synthesized antibody. But keeping going on with your B.S. Oh and if you want to keep going on about spreading the virus to other people, come back with a vector for the virus to be transmitted from human to human. Maybe you'll actually get how it's spread.

You're one to speak of hypocrisy and being an ass.
Synthesized antibodies? Care to explain what the fuck you're on about, or how exactly these so called "synthesized antibodies" created by the processing of a vaccine are any worse than the average variety?
The virus is spread via direct contact or the inhalation of airborn particles. Your point?

I see how your arguments work. Rehashing points into your own ideas and trying to make believe that they're right, no matter what. And me being an ass? Only to you since you came into this thread and started your condescending attitude.
I need not explain what a synthesized antibody is (use context clues, should have learned about this in the 5th grade).
And you're vector is mediocre in terms of mass infection. Return to Patient Zero and map it out from there.

And my being an asshole is a way to goad responses from otherwise apathetic people. Is that the purpose of yours?
Humor me. Your knowledge is just as important as mine is.
I fail to see the importance of the origin of the flu when the topic is prevention of future fatalities.

My purpose is to merely inform without a manner which can be come off as rude. I can write a good response without having to act like a dick.
Now, I will explain this in the best way possible, for you, and for all of FP.
Your body (Immune system mainly) creates synthesized antibodies, coded specifically for your body. Now with a vaccine, it's coded for every one. Problem is, the vaccine is weaker in others. Why? The body rejects the code (i.e. A transplant patient who has received a new body part). The body sees this new antibody as foreign and attempts to attack, making the vaccine weaker. Now when your body produces it's own, it's genetic code matches your body perfectly, it's built for you, and only you.
You (Mr. Mcguffin) say " I fail to see the importance of the origin of the flu when the topic is prevention of future fatalities. " Patient Zero, the first person to contract the virus, can lead to the host, which holds the strongest antibody towards the virus. That's why it's critical to find that single person. Now do you see where the prevention of future fatalities comes in?

Your sentence structure is hard to understand.
"Problem is, the vaccine is weaker in others." Who is being referenced here? Who is the vaccine not weaker in?
"The body rejects the code (i.e. A transplant patient who has received a new body part)." The body rejects the code? What is this code, and why shouldn't it be rejected? As I understand, the whole point of a vaccine is to make a certain virus known to the body so that when it comes into contact with that same virus it can more easily identify and destroy it before more serious consequences occur.
So what makes it's potency at the time of identification so important?
How could we track down the original contractor of the flu? That would require knowledge of every person to get the flu since it's creation. Without that information all you have is at best a large group of candidates. And why should we abandon the use of the vaccine for the search for this "original antibody"(why is it the most powerful anyhow?) when we don't even know if it's possible to find?
