swine flu =/= aids
Well, you're certainly well informed.
I got the H1N1 vaccination 3 days ago and haven't had any side-effects, except being a little sore and tired immediately after getting it. I chose to get it because I work in a high school and am exposed to lots of germs every day. I can't afford to miss work for a week, plus I have asthma, which makes the flu more dangerous. My sister and her boyfriend also got the vaccination and neither of them got any side-effects either.

The side effect is that you will be more vulnerable when the real mutated virus comes out.
Also , you will have cancer.
I haven't gotten the vaccine or the Swine yet. My immune system is a tank.
Wrong.
I didn't even think about her when I wrote that.
I don't think the vaccine is "dangerous", I just think it's a waste of time because it's useless.
Useless to you or just useless because it's hardly useless. So many kids come into my school wheezing and sneezing and coughing up god knows what because they cant stop thinking about themselves for 3 seconds and take a few days off to get better. We had 102 kids absent yesterday out of about 800, 3 cases of swine flu in the area and tons of "oh god I gotta get perfect attendance this year" kids sneezing on just about every surface that my hand could come in contact with so I'd rather not have to worry about an illness that could keep me out of school for almost an entire week.
oh and that comment wasn't directed at you it's mostly at the idiots who think the vaccine will turn you into a retard or something
Why? Do you think those who develop modern medicine has no clue on what they're doing, or what is the reason you think like that?
because the news says so
The side effect is that you will be more vulnerable when the real mutated virus comes out.

Why would we be more vulnerable?
Also the vaccination is to stop us getting this, so that it can't spread and mutate.
The side effect is that you will be more vulnerable when the real mutated virus comes out.

That's dumb. The more people who get vaccinated, the less opportunity for the virus to mutate.

How is it useless? Vaccines give your body the chance to fight a weakened strain of a virus, thereby allowing it to develop immunity and fight the full-blown virus faster. That's not useless.
People sure are misinformed about the vaccine in here. I just had it on Friday, I did some research on it and it seems to me you're better off with the vaccine than without. Well whatever, it's a personal decision I guess.
Taking it on Tuesday, feeling quite calm about it. My mom and sister have already taken it (mom, being a nurse; sister got it from school) and they haven't had any side-effects other than feeling a bit numb in the arm they got the shot, and that was weeks ago. Have no goddamn idea what the hysteria is about.
I won't take the shot, i have a good inmunologic system, and i don't give a shit about H1N1.

Really, I always wondered why they distributed it.
Also, took it almost a week ago.

I took few flu shots previous years so why the fuck not this one also.
You are not a real man unless you catch H1N1 and survive.
Psh, I died from swine flu like two weeks ago. Nothing to it.
Oh hey guys I just got this vaccine that makes me feel like i have the swine flu but it's okay because it's a vaccine even if it does make me have the swine flu
Ninja'd.

The vaccine doesn't give you a full-blown swine flu, get out.
I have a hard time of trusting doctors, in my childhood I always had pains in my legs and back, they labeled this Cerebral Palsy which is rather severe. Turns out I had growing pains.
Couldn't do shit for my IBS either, so you can't blame me for questioning them when they say "your immune system is broke, take vaccine up yer arse"

Hopefully I won't fucking keel over this week. I had a fever today of 103.5 AFTER I took motrin.
I got mine last Wednesday.

Oh, so you watched a youtube vid about it :buddy:
Took it a week ago, had a mild fever and headache a few days, that's it.

The Mercury based preservative in Vaccines does not cause you autism, nor does it make limbs fall off, nor is the government trying to kill you. There hasn't been a reputable study that has proven Thimerosal is a factor in development in Autism, so proven in the paper I posted a while back.
People have no need to panic over Thimerosal.

The girl in that video got a seasonal flu shot, not a swine flu shot.
Also:
Leigh Vinocur, an emergency room physician, was interviewed and relayed the opinion that the neurologists she consulted were of the opinion that Jennings’ symptoms were consistent with a psychogenic disorder. In other words – her symptoms are not neurological, they are psychological. This does not mean she has any insight or voluntary control over her symptoms – they are involuntary and “real” – just not neurological in origin. Symptoms such as this are not uncommon reactions to emotional stress in some individuals. Given the evidence presented, I think this is a reasonable opinion.
Dr. Vinocur also points out that there are no reported cases of true dystonia resulting from the flu vaccine – this is not a known or established vaccine reaction.
Good luck on not getting any side effects
I'm getting it tomorrow. I'm scared for my life.
I have heard there is mercury in the vaccine on purpose to stabilize it somehow, while being kinda poisonous.
I will better risk getting the swine flu, instead of getting some rushed arguably effective vaccine.
