Kmart and PoliticalM both have some really nice work. I also didn't know Kmart was from Portland.
Thanks :) If it's not too late, current project: http://welovebrew.kerplunc.com/ (design, markup & backend :D)
Just a question, Why does everyone do html, why not php or asp?(etc)
You're still using HTML when you use PHP or ASP.
Php and Wordpress are the shit. They look so sexy.
PHP and Wordpress have nothing to do with looks at all.
Kmart and PoliticalM both have some really nice work. I also didn't know Kmart was from Portland.
:) Portland is awesome.
-;17520475']Thanks :) If it's not too late, current project: http://welovebrew.kerplunc.com/ (design, markup & backend :D)
Looks alright but the kerning on your h1 tags is a little bit too tight, and it might look better if the content was a medium-dark gray instead of black. Oh and the padding in your little footer block is pretty uneven.
When I create websites I don't put much effort into my design mainly knowing it won't get so popular, but if I get motivated by a lot of people I will. Anyway, I'm currently working on a 4chan imgboard, and I really don't know if I should post it. But recently I've ran out of site ideas and I haven't created a site in a long time, so maybe when I get a nice, original idea, I might do a good design on it.
http://www.v1creative.com Hasn't been updated in a while, so here's a few more recent bits being done as real client work and not 15 year old bedroom "designer" work. They're all working versions too so there are parts that are incomplete of course. http://www.v1creative.com/clients/ofqhc/OFQHC_redesign_homepage.jpg http://www.v1creative.com/clients/synergylegal/synergy_legal_comp001.jpg http://www.v1creative.com/clients/synergylegal/synergy_legal_comp002.jpg http://www.v1creative.com/clients/winninghamconstruction/ I can pull together more work samples if you want, just shoot me an email: alex [at] v1creative.com Oh and here's another more typography focused design just for good measure: http://www.v1creative.com/02_full.jpg
I was in the process of writing an extensive resume of my work. Then I saw this post. As it turns out, I suck at web design.
@Above two, both right. It is saturated with crap cheap ass designers who give the industry a bad image. An excellent designer is quite rare, I hope I fall in the second category :P
I've had a look at some of your designs, and they are great. You DO fall into the second category.
http://spleet.webs.com Something I'm making for a friend of mine. She asked, I insisted. It's to host her artwork and such. Clearly it's still in development. She wanted to see how it would look to determine whether she'd want to pay for it to be hosted and pay for a fresh domain. It's designed by her and myself. She supplied me with the initial "bunny" photo. Started from nothing, ended up with something. The "about me" page will end up having a stylesheet, but at the moment, since there's nothing to work with, it's blank. I also had "platinum-cube.com". A site I believe I peddled on here a while back, which is no longer hosted, but if anyone recalls it, it was fairly decent. I fit the requirements. As for the "Preferred" I am limited with PHP, to basic MySQL interaction. For comments or something similar. However for HTML, CSS, some Javascript, I am pretty well versed.
i used to work with freewebs sites, a tip to remove the blue bar is put <noscript> right before </body> and again before </html>
I know how to Internet :) Pick me!
Is it just me or is evryone making web 2.0 designs these days...
Kmart is so damn awesome at webdesign.

Put some buttons that add "[IMG][/IMG]" or easy access to emoticons
Sorry for not posting my work. I'm currently creating a basic Left 4 Dead forum here: http://www.redsupernova.net/forums/index.php

Awesome! I have never seen some of such applications. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. My brother would definitely love your site! North London Web Designer (User was permabanned for this post ("Spammer" - daijitsu))
