honestly sounds like they write all of them to a formula
Don't forget a dry overproduced guitar tone!

The guitar tone in this song makes me want to kill myself
I'm assuming the people here who think that all metalcore is terrible haven't heard Botch or Converge.

Metalcore is just metal+hardcore, I guess you could argue that Converge and Botch fall more under mathcore but thats a subgenre of metalcore anyways.
[editline]9th November 2011[/editline]
If anything most of todays "metalcore" isn't really metalcore since most of it lacks any elements of hardcore.

That's old-school / classic metalcore (metal + hardcore punk). At least Converge are.
Most modern metalcore is melodic death metal without the death metal. So I suppose you could argue that modern metalcore is mostly melodic metal with harsh vocals. Oh and a lot of modern metalcore also sounds like it had hot sex with pop punk, too, since there's a lot of formulaic tendencies (verse/chorus/verse structure, among various other things).

It was worse when it was full of electronic fans. The ones that are here now are fine however, but the ones before where pretty closed minded.
