Weird- A few days ago i was sitting in my chair- thinking about all of the 500$ Dollars my brother sent me in the mail for my moms Birthday (she is 80- And my brother and i always get her something- But he couldn't because he was in California for a few weeks on a business trip- so we both chipped in 500$ to get Her a gift!) Anyway- i was sitting in my chair wondering about the Money my brother had sent me a few weeks ago- he had called me saying he sent it- How could it not be in? That message was Flying through my head, when, i head a knock on my front door. To my sheer surprise A fat, young man who stank of Dirty garbage and Old socks Handed me a letter Addressed from California, And it was sent to me- from my brother. A complete sensation of relief flooded my body I Grinned at the letter the Plump young man was holding towards me.I snatched the letter away wondering where the boy had found it. But the With such a sensation of happiness i coulnd't speak And without thought- slammed the door in the boys face. I quickly Examined the letter noticing it was ripped open! My face turn to stone with a Grim Frown- The young boy had stolen 200$ dollars from me- my brother and My mothers gift. What a rotten young boy.
I would have kept it.
soon that feeling of good will turn to regret
Have you ever heard of "altruism?" Like maybe how it doesn't exist? Search it up. For every donation, every act of good will, every anonymous aid there is a selfish motive behind it. Example: I donated $10 to the Salvation Army today. Why? Because it makes me feel "selfless," it makes me feel that I'm a benevolent, kind-hearted member of society. My peers will look at me and say, "Wow, that guy is pretty cool, he's willing to give money to children in Africa because he cares!" Wrong. I don't care. Why would I care about some kid I don't know? I'm doing it for myself, and myself only. http://bartwilson.blogspot.com/2005/10/does-altruism-exist.html ^ Interesting Article. Go write an essay on it.
I'd rather have everyone do good things for selfish reasons than do selfish things for selfish reasons.
OP is a wonderful person and is going to heaven.
Honestly, I'd have kept every penny without thinking twice.
I dunno about you but if I lost $300 in the mail and never found it again, I'd be depressed and annoyed. Taking that would be an absolute douche thing to do.
You should of just thought it was drug money and that you were helping him with his problem. :v:
OP needs to kick the door in execute the guy in front of his 12 year old son and wife, torture them with red hot metal coat hangers kill them, buy coke and snort it all at once.
This happened in a book I read last year, can't remember if I finished it thou
it was probably drug money.
You just ripped off a Recess episode from fucking years ago. Good game. Only managed to remember this due to nostalgia-ing as I read your post. I just searched it out of curiosity. Title: The C Note Aired in 2000. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUUAq42wPrM
Should've burnt it
I found £180 in a purse near the door of a car, it was as if it fell out of their pocket as they exited the vehicle. It was about 9:00 pm and dark so it had been there for a while I spotted it straight away and paused. For what seemed an hour of thinking was but 3 minutes of pick it up and walk away. I went into some shrubbery and examined the contents of the purse and found: 4 bank cards license LOADS of vouchers and £180 I took the money but through everything else into the sea. Did I forget to mention this took place at a retirement village? tl;dr I stole money off a pensioner and I do not regret it.

(Amazingly not sarcasm)
The moment you brag about a good deed is the moment it stops being one.
