BP Oil Spill's Genocide of Animals (Sort of Graphic)
I live where this is all happening, and I can tell you it's not as bad as it's made out to be. Obviously, little good came out of it (there were a few new jobs made thanks to this, but it's still mostly bad) but you don't actually see blobs of oil washing up on beaches, and you only see a few more dead animals washed up than normal.
It's hurting our tourism more than anything else.
where you live isn't the whole southern coastline
Wow... I'm officially depressed :smith:
Genocide? That would mean they intended it.
anyone that says the animals don't matter are massive uneducated fucktards.
the ocean ecosystem is doing badly enough without humankind creating massive oil spills. it won't surprise me if this spill threatens a shitload of species and further fucks up biodiversity.
in case you didn't notice this is a LOSE-LOSE-LOSE situation. BP is wasting oil that could be used, ruining plenty of business for fisheries, etc. AND also fucking with the ecosystem all in one fell swoop

I always wonder, why don't they help them instead of just filming them?
"IT THERE FAWLT DAT BEE PEE'S OIL WELL SUFFRED @ MEKAHNEEKUL PRAHBLUM TAT MIT AVE BIN KAUZD BI TEH ANEEMULS!"
Seriously, whoever's saying it's absolutely all of BP's fault and totally not just a mechanical failure is pants-on-head retarded.
BP has done this numerous times and been warned about safety issues in the gulf for quite some time.
