Or some NATO shit, even though no other country has any military facilities in the US as far as I know.
you would be correct about that, sir.
because no Western World really poses a threat unlike Russia, Korea, Middle East, African Civil War (yes we help with that too)
OH MY GOD CANADA IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD! give them all your maple syrup and dont let them see your Moose Mounts on your walls.

So no big brother to defend you when the school bully from China comes to take your money.
hey guess what, the U.S is paying for the Iraq war with loans from China.
Could someone explain to me what he means? So the British army makes a High Year Tenture, and that means the US army is running out of money? What?

Air Force personnel are kicked out (discharged.. and as far as I know it's honorable) If they're a single rank for two long. The Air Force is downsizing too. They have too many people.. and this will weed out the people who've been here a long time and make room for new airmen! There's nothing wrong with it.. a bit unfair and not very considerate. But once you've served your twenty.. you're pretty much good.

is it a good idea to fix our economy by kicking out the men defending us physically?
i mean really.
If you have a smaller army then you will look more vulnerable. and we owe a lot to other countries. if we get rid of (around 1000 SMsgt ) from the Air Force. out of something like 20,000 thats still gonna drop our numbers significantly especially if it happens to every rank in every branch.

It's not about having a small army. Technically if you say that why would you want a bunch of old farts in your army anyways? Downsizing + no career progress = high year of tenure. That, and it does save money of course because the air force doesn't necessarily need you or will have another airman take your position. So although one may be kicked out.. one for sure is coming in too.
Also, we are in the UK and other places for moblity.. but the bases name is RAF Lakenheath.. Royal Air Force. That sure doesn't sound like a US military base. And I only say that to show that it's not like we just took a military base sized shit in your country and everyone hates us. We've been there for a long time. There is no reason to remove it. And if shit hits the fan.. we've got your back. (Unless your shit hits our fan.. in that case.. I don't know what would happen :()
Edit: And as a side note... you get severance pay if you've served more then 6 and less then 20... and you get the awesome retirement pay for more then 20. That's not too much to complain about.. you know? I think you're upset because your father is upset, and he's upset because he: 1. doesn't want it to happen to him, 2. had it happen to a close friend or someone he knew, 3. another reason I can't think of.
Which makes his opinions understandable.. but also biased.

basically England, you are just a stepping stone for the US Military. haha we give you good jobs on the bases though. nice pay and you get benefits of Americans... i think
but dont worry. if you ever decide to attack Mexico we'll support you "probably" and you'll get bases in the Bahamas. does that sound nice? we got ones in the Azores. 4 seasons all year round. heard its nice there.
we have tons of Military bases in your country. also in Germany and Belgium to name just a few. some in Japan too. but ill stop talking about that. OPSEC. haha
That's also very foolish to say. They are not a stepping stone, but infact we're stepping on the same stone they're stepping on. That's way to uppity to say... and honestly is the kind of thing I think people hate Americans for. We're on their land (even if it's considered US soil but I'm not sure since it's an RAF base) so although they may benefit from it, and I know they do.. we can't and shouldn't look at them as a stepping stone.
And.. please don't say things unless you're sure. Stating that there are bases in Germany and Belgium is not OPSEC. If you said how many planes were going there or coming from there or something... that'd be OPSEC. But hell I can name a few of the bases over there and it's not even close to OPSEC.
its kinda a joke over here. whenever somebody says something about a military action or anything they are like "REMEMBER OPSEC" because AFN (Armed Forces Network) always has horribly acted commercials about it.
and yea they aren't as much of a stepping stone but we had to put up camp somewhere. and they do benefit from us so its like a mutual relationship.
well the reason my dad is upset is because he wanted to do more for his country. he wanted to do 110% now hes doing something like 90% if that makes any sense. he wanted to go ALL THE WAY and work his ass off and get the best retirement ever.
but heeey. its all good i get a free education when he retires. he has 60% retirement with disability pay (his back is bad) and i get something like 40,000 dollars for College. but i think its split between all my brothers. but that is still really good. if you divide it up by 3 you get around 13,000 each and since my Autistic brother might not go to college maybe me and my other brother would get more.
ya know what? -snip- or id be a hypocrite
my brother has autism you fuck
I don't know what you said, but why do you take being autistic as a negative? There's nothing really wrong with people who have it. Many autistic people can function very well in society and have fulfilling and great relationships with other humans. I was being serious when I asked that question.
