Jesu No one I know likes them besides me, so they're headphones only.
Feel your pain. My friends don't even like Isis and they're into metal. [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] My listen alone music is nearly all of it except the popular metal stuff I listen to like Metallica, Slipknot, System Of A Down, In Flames, etc.
The new Fray album.... *shhhhh*

Certain moments at least.
Probably GY!BE, It's not that bad but to people I hang out with its abrasive as fuck

The majority of the music I listen to I have to listen to by myself. Industrial is a very acquired taste.
Having trouble reading the band name. What're they called?
Animal Collective. Although the first one Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished was before they were called that, and it was only two members, Avey Tare and Panda Bear.
I always like to listen this song when I am getting alone or sad. ---------- Lyrics

I listen to all my music alone. I generally hate doing stuff like listening to music, watching movies, etc. with other people.
Anything not considered "mainstream". While I honestly don't give a flying fuck what people think about my music, I'm still in high school, and high school kids hear a song that isn't by BoiiNigga McFuckBitches and start throwing shit like "fag" around. The last thing I need is to include stabbing stupid kids in my day-to-day routine. The only exception to this entire post is Silversun Pickups - it emits this witchcraft and everyone just drops whatever they're doing and kicks back.
I listen to all my music alone. I generally hate doing stuff like listening to music, watching movies, etc. with other people.
Very few people have experienced the music with me where it wasn't awkward but where we as people could tell we were having the same experience. The human factor when listening to music is always good, but there are far too many situations where we have to act differently in order to accept other people's views/personalities. Our true personality can only be shared among ourselves.
I'm basing this off of stuff I wouldn't play at work since I get free reign of the iPod docking station during my shift. Kid A - Weird, not really pleasing to most King of Limbs - Same as above Jet Set Radio Future Soundtrack - Has some good tracks that are great for work, but when Birthday Cake comes on without me knowing then shit gets real Mellow Gold - Weird and not necessarily appropriate Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack - Take a wild guess

For the most part, I listen to music as an introverted experience.
It's catchy as fuck, okay?
I listen to all my music alone. Why is this so fucking catchy
Anything that involves power metal. Mostly because the lyrics to almost every song in the genre are pure cheesiness. Also things like this: No need to be recommended to a mental institute, after all.
pfff, i blast stockhausen out of my car while going down to the grocery store. people tend to move out of your way when you blast Klavierstucke.
I find Gesange der Junglinge does wonders for getting at the front in line at Wal-Mart. [editline]31st March 2012[/editline] But yes, overall music (As welly as every other art form) for me is a very introverted experience.
This is my "turn all the lights off, sit back, relax" song.
not even gonna bother showing this to anyone
Why is this so fucking catchy
Why is that so fucking catchy? Got damn.
I'll ONLY listen to Ethereal Wave through headphones by myself. I could hear it on a journey no problem too. This darkness will be just for me. :>
I'm really digging this song, actually.
anything that isn't rock. I have a secret love for folk music and none of my friends can know
You listen to the same nine albums weekly to be honest. There's nothing with folk anyway so I don't know why you find it shameful.

heh, I know a handful of friends who would be into stuff like Burial. it depends who I'm with, the other day with my friend I threw Sun City Girls on in the car and he was cool with it, but another friend was bothered by both Eric's Trip and Yo La Tengo, which I thought was being really safe
Mostly anything with "post" in front of it. I'm listening to Devin Townsend a bit more now on my iPod, etc. and I listen to that at home. No real reason, other than that I can blare it through my speakers from my iPod instead of fucking my ears up with headphones in public.
Post-Dubstep works well at parties i've found;well some.
