I remember this thread
To me, it looks more like a common carp than a goldfish. Carps are also known to become huge and live for long, sometimes as much as 40 years (if they're not killed beforehand).
You're right, the OP obviously doesn't know what kind of fish he's been owning for circa 20 years.

If you would like I can post this fish on a fishkeeping forum and have it Identified properly.
If you would like I can post this fish on a fishkeeping forum and have it Identified properly.
go crazy I don't really care if it's a goldfish or not, still unique looking.
What have you been feeding it?
http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3585078#post3585078 Yes, yes, The site is called Monsterfishkeepers. [editline]02:02PM[/editline] Carassius auratus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldfish "The Discovery Channel's popular show Mythbusters tested the contemporary legend that goldfish only had a memory span of 3 seconds and were able to prove that goldfish had a longer memory span than commonly believed. The experiment involved training the fish to navigate a maze. It was evident that they were able to remember the correct path of the maze after more than a month." Well I'll be damned. Have you ever considered getting him a bigger tank? He's a gorgeous fish, he deserves a bigger home to swim in. "Rome has also banned the keeping of goldfish in goldfish bowls, on the premise that it is cruel for a fish to live in such a small space." :colbert:
Rome is PETA!
Rome is PETA!
Would you keep a cat in a cage? no.
OLD bump for important news, The fish has died 3 days ago. We will that little mutant.
You will what? WHAT WILL YOU DO TO HIM!?
You will what? WHAT WILL YOU DO TO HIM!?
oh god, we will MISS that little mutant.
Poor little thing, he had a good life I guess.
Well he lived for what, 22 years? He must've had a good life.
Oh god, I remember this thread. The little yellow stone(?) fish looked absolutely terrified. Did you give him a decent burial, or was it the traditional Flush to Oblivion?
Give him a viking boat funeral. It is only befitting for such an ancient.
OLD bump for important news, The fish has died 3 days ago. We will MISS that little mutant.
Fuck man, that fish seemed like a bro :( <3
Wow, a fish 22 years old. Thats very odd. Im sorry he's gone.
that's like my dick swimming around in a tank, except my dick isn't white, which explains why I could even compare it to a giant goldfish.
Good night sweet prince...

Fun. I just bought 4 Goldfish and put them in our gardenpond. They got significantly fatter from eating all the moscito larvae.
Fun. I just bought 4 Goldfish and put them in our gardenpond. They got significantly fatter from eating all the moscito larvae.
It's good you put them in a pond. Goldfish are big and produce a lot of waste. IMO they should never be kept in a tank smaller than 10 gallons (20 gallons is more ideal really) Does your pond have a filter? [editline]2nd August 2011[/editline]
Man, popeyed goldfish are badass.
No, they're fucked up abominations bred to look like that by cruel people.
You know that post is going on two years old, right?
The thread was bumped. May as well reply to something I feel like replying to even if the person who posted it doesn't see it. It might provoke thought in others still.
